How have Buzz Williams transfers fared post-MU?
Thanks to Twitter follower @sgriffin_87to98 for the idea to look into Marquette's transfers during the Buzz Williams era. Williams hasn't hit on each of his recruits — what college coach has? — and some have seen success at other schools, while others seem to have disappeared. Let's jump right into it: *The year in parentheses [...]<img alt="" border="0" src="http://stats.wordpress.com/b.gif?host=painttouches.com&blog=28348875&post=9957&subd=painttouches&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" />

Now Maymon and his family posse were a real class act. He must be approaching the Otule limit on decades playing college ball.
Could make a decent team out of our departures. Smith, Newbill, Jones, Maymon, Roseboro with Ferguson, McKay, and Taylor coming off the bench. They'd contend with our current lineup.

Not a chance.
And Newbill wasn't a transfer.

Is there any difference between Newbill and Durley? Neither stepped foot on campus. Maybe because Newbill was never accepted, he wasn't a transfer, but Durley was accepted, so he was a transfer?

Not a transfer either since he was released from his LOI before enrolling. TJ Taylor was considered a transfer and had to sit last year, assuming Roseboro wasn't since he could play right away at St. Bon.
Interesting follow-up. Happy to see several of these guys getting minutes and having success.
FWIW, FGCU lost in the Sweet 16 last season, not the E8.

And some of the others we are glad to have gone. And I am not talking Maymon.

smh....
Anyway, I also really like Jones, and root for him and FGCU. Good kid, I hope he has a nice career in Europe some day.
No update on Pat Hazel?
Y'all forgot Mbao! And David singleton and Garrett Swanson are also missing.

Mbao: Senior at Marshall, averaging 0.3 points, 1 rebound in 7.7 minutes per game this season. For his career, he's 3-20 from the floor, 11-25 on FTs with nearly twice as many TOs than points.
Singleton: Currently playing ball in Morocco after finishing his career at Albright College.

Swanson: Playing ball at Casper College.
I would just change the title from transfers to "transfers and former commits" or something like that.
That way you are covered. You could also include Nick Williams, Tyshawn Taylor and a certain guy that played for Minnesota....TM.

Mbakwe isn't still playing? I thought he had a lifetime scholarship like Otule.
I believe Mckay only has 1 1/2 years of eligibility not 2 since he was on scholarship for a semester here?
