he'd be a Warrior right now. If its immediate playing time he's after, we can offer that to a center.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.
I'm sure Crean will offer one of Iman's h.s. teammates within the next week.

Acker was McNeal's teammate, and if I recall correctly you seem to be pretty high of him from your last comments regarding DJ.
What's wrong with high school teammates?
I do like Acker.
I'm referring to throwing a scholarship at Blackledge when his teammate Stemler (another all your eggs in one basket recruit) shunned us for Indiana. It was lazy recruiting, pure and simple.
We had a scholarship that wasn't going to be filled and instead of banking it, we gave it to a kid nobody was recruiting.

I know about blackledge... and my point is this:
Not all situations are the same... and HS teammates aren't always a bad thing.
To make some blanket statement/swipe at the staff for signing Blackledge after losing Stemler is silly.
Making a completely unrelated swipe about another player's recruiting confirms that you can't separate Crean's performance from your disdain for his personality.
Also, please note that Stemler might be a nice player this year, but he sure hasn't set the world on fire. I'm not sure that losing him and picking up Blackledge was much of a loss. There is no way to know for sure, but I'm not sure that Stemler has stood out enough on IU to make me believe he would have been a great help to MU.
