I watch a lot of college football and this same way that crazy SEC teams after a loss is similar to how some of you are acting like today.
Somehow whenever a team loses the losing coach got "Outcoached" and that he has somehow gotten stupider in from the last win. Lets get this one thing straight. Buzz is just as good, if not a better coach today, than he was when we pasted Miami.
Lets all remember that Buzz lost his star player that he expected back (Blue), One of the top JUCO players in America suddenly decided to transfer to Ames, and than to top it off the guy who is supposed to compete for the starting point guard spot has to shut er down because he sustained an injury because he was working too hard!!!
These are not excuses, these are reasons why things are not going as planned.
So let me ask you
1. Did Buzz cause an errant Decker three Pointer too hit the backboard, the front rim, the side rim, and Burrs face and drop in?
2. Did Buzz cause Gasser to run into D-Wilsons back for foul?
3. Did Buzz miss several key rebounds?
NO, NO, and NO
Now lets ask these questions
1.Is Buzz recruiting high level players
2. Do his teams get better as the season goes on
3. Is he not being a man of honor for suspending an infamous Badger Killer (Mayo) instead of suspending him for the first half against Rice?
Yes YES YES as Daniel Bryan would say
Maybe Scoop just got smarter and Buzz hasn't kept up with our pace?

In return I'll ask you:
Are the bolded words the reason we lost the game?
NO.
Is it instead because we got entirely outplayed and only three of our players played like they deserved to be there?
YES
Is that a coaching problem?
Depends what side you're on in this debate.

1. High level players: Maybe, because some are not playing. And he has yet to recruit a high level big. Gardner-who was a sleeper.
2. Getting better: Yes, the past couple years. This year--not yet.
3. Mayo should be gone. As I said in another post; Mayo has had more chances than Joe Pesci in the Blackjack scence in Casino.
So all your yeses are qualified.

Could be, but we will all keep slurping the Kool Aid. I do make a bold prediction. With a week to prepare, Buzz will regroup and kick IUPeeYew's ass by 20.

And Taylor is hurt, and Todd is a tool, and Bucky has a good team that really wanted this game, and played at home....
No, I am not happy with this team, and no, I do not have grand aspirations for this year. I also do not think Buzz has somehow lost it in 6 months. We have already seen changes being made (Jamil at the point) and expect we will continue to see more, including more time for freshmen, as the year goes on.
