I really like Jajuan's fluid play on offense. He's just so smooth and I don't think it's a coincidence we have had some offensive struggles alleviated with his recent play. He's a pretty good passer/playmaker too. Hoping he keeps getting time and asserting himself on offense.
He looked smooth today. It was CS-Fullerton, though. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to back-2-back games. Hope his defense reaches Buzz's liking soon.
Sitting him would not only hurt this years team but next years too.
He could be huge next year with proper experience this year.

Yep, but I thought he looked pretty similar against ASU. Good at getting into the lane. Nice floater and can hit the three regardless of his form. I think he will be our leading scorer next year.
His release is so ugly, but when it goes in, who cares.
He travelled on nearly every drive... will be a problem if refs call it.
Rough diamond?

What player doesn't travel nowadays? lol
Don't get me wrong, I think he is clearly finding his legs. And I hope this is just a harbinger of things to come. But I want to see him do it in prime time.
He clearly needs to figure out the defensive end, but when he does his length and speed could make him a transition beast.
Granted, his shot makes freshman year Vander look like Steph Curry, but as long as it goes in I'll take it.

I re-watched his jumper a few times and I've come to the conclusion that, while his preparation prior to release (ie. getting the ball up above his head) is unconventional, once he starts the movement of the ball to the hoop, his motion is fundamentally quite sound.
Put into tennis terms (can't help myself here), his take back is weird, but his stroke is pure.

Yes, he's kind of the Jim Furyk of hoops. Seriously. Hitch and all.
But from the top of his release to his follow-through, JJJ's J looks pretty nice.
Looks even nicer when I see the swish at the other end!!

Idk how this is true.
Vanders shot was ugly as well....and he couldn't make jumpers.
JJJ makes em repeatedly.

He played excellent defense today and played fairly well against ASU. I'm sure Buzz was already well aware of what he could do offensively - but to get it the game, he had to show in practice that he understood the concepts and would put in the effort on defense.
Joakim Noah's shot is far and away the ugliest I have ever seen, but he gets it in the hoop and that's all that matters.
Shawn Marion.
His shooting is a plus, but his dribble drive penetration versus a zone is huge.

Shawn Marion.
Kevin Martin. Guy is one of the best shooters in the NBA. Not saying JJJ is close, but Martin's form isn't pretty.
JJJ is definitely a player. It's good to see Buzz letting everyone play. Keep the players on the court that are producing. The three freshmen look very good. Burton plays much bigger than his 6'5". He's the kind of player that you want on the court. Dawson looks very smooth and an excellent back up for Derrick. Hope the team keeps jelling. Go MU!

I love Burton's energy, but his defense is really a work in progress.

I was at the game. His offense is fluid and deadly, but he has a LONG way to go on defense. There were times yesterday and today when I watched his defender blow right by him and then he had to foul.
Still, his positives far outweigh his negatives

Hmmm. Wasn't able to do it back 2 back. He will be fine.
