Title: Duane Wilson
Post by: wadesworld on November 28, 2013, 03:53:33 PM
He's in the warmups today. We've seen pictures of him dunking at the BC. Could the Savior be back soon?

Everyone should probably temper their expectations for his performance upon returning. There's a lot of missed time to make up. It's good to hear that he'll be back soon, though.

Gotta imagine he keeps getting closer.  I'm sure he's itching to get on the court.

Missing time will probably result in only being Big East Freshman of the Year rather than Big East Player of the Year and a first team All-American.  Will probably shoot 65% from the field with a 7/1 A:TO and propel the team to a 16-2 conference record.  We'll drop our first game in the conference tournament though, but not after his inspirational play moves someone into donating enough money to build a new arena.  The Bucks will be forced to play in Duane Wilson Arena and its gaudy amount of blue and gold trim.

I can live with that.   ;)

Absolutely ridiculous!  Missed time will really hurt, knocking his field goal % down to 53%.  Seven assists and two steals a game will help, as well.

Expected to be available for UW...but not sure if he will see the court or not. Has some catching up to do. But IUPIU seems most likely for first live action.  I am looking forward to him playing..especially with the new "hands off" rules.  His ability to get to the rim will be a big plus.

Great news.  I wouldn't really expect much in game from him until the conference season starts, but great to here he'll have the opportunity for playing time.

I'd be thrilled if he could begin to get some minutes against IUPIU.  That'll give him a solid handful of non-con games against beatable opponents (yes, I know New Mex is tough) before our trip to Creighton.  If accurate, it might still be a productive Freshman year for Duane.

How do we play 13 kids? Are there enough minutes to go around ?  Big challenge for. Buzz to keep every one happy.

I hear Dylan Flood is shooting the lights out in practice and may start alongside Jake Thomas vs. the Badgers.  And by the way, McKay is still listed on our roster wiki :)

Who cares. This isn't 4th grade basketball where everybody gets a trophy and equal playing time.

He should play who he thinks will help the team win.

The awesome thing about a wiki is anyone registered on this site can fix it when there is a mistake.

Please expand. D Wilson has been a nice surprise but we saw last night what a PG who can shoot offers a team. D Wilson can't even feed to post because his defender sags so much.

IOW, giving him cupcake minutes is likely the best way to get him introduced to college basketball.  Not a top ten team on the road.
