Title: Homer/Mac and TV at the same time
Post by: Tugg Speedman on November 25, 2013, 09:21:36 PM
Anyone else listen to Homer/Mac while using their DVR to line up the radio (stream in my case) and the video?

i tried listening to the radio away from the tv to see if i could change their luck...it worked as that was when we got back into the game.  then i was tempted, but afraid to watch so as not to jinx them,  the problem is, 540 am is so damn week that you would think you were listening to a game from over seas and i'm 20 miles out of milwaukee.  what the hell is the strength of 540?  is it run off of 4 D-cell batteries or something.  can't a top college team get a little better radio coverage than this ham radio?  540 is weak enough as it is, then they have to power down at sunset and sheesh.  1130 was a little better, but then i think homer and belling got into it and we lost.  now i see the badgers are being dropped from wtmj?  we should go after that station if that's the case

I do, but I have to pickup the radio stream from the Tune In app on a laptop, otherwise the raadio is too fast for the TV.  Ususally ends up about 2 mins behind realtime.

540's signal must originate from Waukesha because I can get it in mostly clear even in my basement in northwest Waukesha county.  My problem was the radio signal was 10-15 seconds ahead of the TV signal.  It was like watching and listening to 2 different games.

i really don't know where it originates.  i live in waukesha and on my way home from the games, i start losing it the closer i get to home.  actually as i exit the freeway at 164/big bend it really starts to go downhill  all i know is that marquette can/should do better if they want to expand their brand

We don't go after stations, they pay us money for the broadcast rights.  If someone wants to pay more, they can have the games on their station.

I tweeted that we should bench jake thomas and then he all of a sudden starts hitting all his threes. Maybe I should do that every game.

Try running 540 thru a laptop or other device, slows down the signal considerably
