Has been *relatively* poor to start the season.

Needs to get that FT swagger back...which I hope he does.
Davante's blessing and curse is that he plays with so much emotion. When things aren't going well for him, it seems to affect every part of his game, including his usually stellar shooting from the line. bilsu brought up a really good point about how the lack of contact may be a detriment for him. I hope it's not too late to develop a post move or two so he can get back to having that magical magnetic pull that seemed to draw the ball down through the hoop. If they fall from the field, I'm confident he'll get them to fall at the line.
When he stopped looking at the upper left corner of the arena during his FT routine, he started missing FT's. Coincidence?
I'm wondering if it's a bit of he and other's thinking they don't have to press this year? Made the tourney 3 times already. In a "weaker" Big East and picked to finish high there and nationally ranked to start the year.... Maybe a case of reading their press clippings and believing them..... Tossing their jersey out there may become a problem???
Where's his senior leadership?? It's needed big time and now..... Otherwise there'll be a rude awakening coming. OSU game was an embarrassment and UNH wasn't stellar either... We are in trouble in Madison, or before, if we and he don't get it going.......
Free throw concentration might be only part of a problem......
FTs are 90% mental. That's all this is. He just needs to get in a groove.
Davante's free throws are the least of MU's concerns right now.
He's 5 or 6 misses from his career rate. I wouldn't read too much into it. It's noticeable because it is to start the season. I'm sure he's had a similar stretch for 30-40 FTs at some point in the past.
I think the more worrisome thing is the lack of touches he gets and the lack of putbacks so far. A rising tide lifts all boats. If we can start hitting some shots, things will open up and everyone will look better. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that we'll start making shots.

I'm pretty concerned about it if it's the only way we can score.
