The red hot Blazers are featured on ESPN's Daily Dime, with nice credit to Wes and his hot start. Seems ridiculous that he is being left off the all-star ballot.

I was driving home from dinner with some colleagues last night and turned the Portland-Brooklyn game on the radio and he hit 4 straight 3 pointers during the 10-15 minutes I listened. Too bad he doesn't have any eligibility left.
They were talking about him on the TBS NBA show last night and noted that he is one of 3 players averaging over 15 points and 50% fg%. They just raved about his huge step up this year, specifically acknowledging his range, ability to drive, strength, rebounding and D. Five tools.
Wes Matthews is one cool dude and a great NBA player. Love having him and JB rep MU.
Wes has been killin.
His scoring average would be higher if he shot more often but hes just taking smart shots.
Had 1 game where he only shot 3 times.
Wes is one of my all-time favorites. Was always overshadowed but never complained, guarded out of position, did the dirty work that contributed to the all-important W, and improved every year.
My man snappin tonight! 26 points, which is a career high I believe. Still 7 minutes left

Career high is 36.

My bad I meant season high. But admittedly I didn't know his career high is 36. Impressive.
Finished with 28 points on 12/19 shooting.
Wes is rolling, and so are the Blazers (no pun intended). And if you follow him, he's still the same humble, down to earth, giving Wes.
looks like he even got ejected last night!!!!

Not before dropping 21 points on 8/9 shooting.
I looked up league leaders in stats and he's like 6th or 7th in the league in FG% and also 4th or 5th in 3pt% (and highest with most number of attempts)
Wes is well on his way to a career year. Shooting percentages by far his best so far.
The Blazers are a nice team, with two players who are in the top 5 at their positions (Lillard, Aldridge), two very solid role players (Wes, Batum), a workmanlike, defensive-minded center (Robin Lopez) and a decent bench.
Wes is in an excellent spot. Between Lillard's penetration/kickout ability and Aldridge's ability to draw double-teams, lots and lots and lots of open shots for one of my favorite Marquette players ever.

Agreed. If the bench is producing they become really, really tough to beat.
As you said they have pretty much the perfect starting 5 a team could want.

I don't mind Dwayne Wade either

I don't Lillard is a top 5 Point Guard.
But apart from that, yeah. They're really good. They struggled a lot last year, but the offseason sure has helped them. Here's to hoping Wes keeps it up and stays healthy.
Wes $20,000.00 fine

Here's the video, can't see why Wes was ejected based on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeD6ocewO0k

I'm guessing most if not all of the players with a higher shooting % are post players too.
134-104 Blazers over the Bobcats. Wes had the game high 25 points on 27 minutes on 8-11 shooting (5-6 from deep).
The Blazers look good. Like, really, really good. They kind of remind me of the 03-04 Pistons, a perfectly put together team.
Show your support for Wes by voting for him for the All-star game. He is on the write-in ballot (which is ridiculous) and it would be nice to see him get the most write-in votes.

Those Pistons did things a little differently -- they could really play D. But I get what you're saying about the Blazers. The pieces fit together nicely.
Anybody think that he shouldn't have been ejected? I didn't see him throw a single punch, I mean was screaming at Jermaine Oneal but that's about it.
