Got here at around 4:15, about 6 people were here before me camping out and my group of buddies came 3 minutes after me. Only 6 hours until doors open.
Awesome. Now start drinking.
Assuming they got there at 4:15, don't you expect they were drinking all night?
I am completely sober.
No quarter barrel for breakfast?

Try to not use your middle finger this time. It scares the children.
Major props to you and your fellow students on today's early morning turnout, drunk or sober!
Any F*ckin' sightings comin' from Silk yet?

Don't think the suites open 'til 'round 11am.
Esard: Props to you and your fellow 4:15am crowd!
And thanks for the picture.
Now, eat your energy bars and pace yourselves - the team will need you in the second 1/2.
Did Buzz pass out any sausage mcmuffins yet? Congrats for being out there, that picture takes me back!
unnatural carnal knowledge yeah. This is what college basketball is all about... living vicariously through students too eager to give a second thought to doing everything we alumni wish we could be doing right now.

Nerves of steel. Many on this board need to pound few down during the nail biters.

Does anybody have the capability to zoom the picture larger? It is too hard to see the beer vendors and dancing girls in the crowd at the current magnification.
Should be a run of strep next week at the health center, hey?
Baby blues today.

Crap I'm wearing my gold shirt! But I'm about 2,200 miles away.
Go get 'em, current students. Put on a show so grand that in 20 years you, too, can say.....back in my day.........
Finish it with......tOSU came to town and we tore that place up sooooooo bad that the buckeyes wilted and MU took 'em by 20.

Makes me smile each time I see it.....the person that came up with general admission seating for the students and the 18 months slog to get that through the administration, the students, MUSG, etc....... well maybe a have a beer for that person today. ;)
Is wine ok?

Nope, I'm the a$$hole that did away (with much help from the Lens and other students, fellow administrators, etc) seniority seating. I was sick of getting to the games, and many of the good seats in the student section were not filled because we weren't very good and the juniors and seniors weren't coming to the games. So we went through an 18 month process of turning that on its head, getting all the signoffs, all the speeches, all the BSing form the Seniors to put in a first come, first serve policy. Best thing we ever did as it relates to the students.
Tried like a mother to move the student section over more to get some of the sidelines, but too much $$$$ would be compromised.
Watching those kids line up before big games and sprinting to the seats before the game starts, gives me goose bumps every time. A bunch of us on staff back then still send emails each year to each other around the globe when one of us sees that video they always show. Pat on the back.

1. Thank you. When I got to campus, the first big game was against notre dame (2003). As a freshman, a guy in my dorm and I waited in line and sprinted to the front row on the corner. One of my favorite memories of my time at MU. We wiped the floor with Chris Thomas and the Irish - they were ranked at the time, we weren't.
2. Thanks for trying to move the section. Always leaves me slightly disappointed when I see duke, Illinois, etc with the students on top of the court.

In my opinion, it will never happen. Way too much money from the blue hairs that they would have to give up.
