Title: Diamond Stone 2.0
Post by: warriorfred on November 04, 2013, 02:39:58 PM
I wanted a new thread (no Superbar-type discussions), for any relevant information on Mr. Stone.

Way to start off the discussion, Fred.

I'm a "giver."  That's what I do.

So when can we expect Mr. Stone to make an announcement?

Well he's a 5-start recruit who hasn't taken a single visit yet. I'm guessing he announces any day now.

I heard his timeframe is between now and May 20th, 2015.

Pretty sure it'll be sometime after he completes his official visits.

I don't blame him, if I got to travel tons of schools, work out with amazing basketball players, eat for free, have them "show" me the girls that are desperate for top bball players, etc I'd wait till the last minute even if my mind was already made up.

Ah, he's a 2015.  In sifting through the other thread, I came away with the notion he was a 2014.  Thank you for clarifying.

Why would he do that?  He already has his mind made up on Marquette.  Just ask Goldenboy.

He can sign November 2014. I see no reason for him to commit early.

Yes, I approve of Stone. Yes, he is tall, but some claim that he is not a big, but a switchable.

Well he's only 6'9", so he's certainly no big, according to you. Steve Novak, however, is absolutely a big.

You're forgetting the copious amounts of alcohol the recruits drink too.

Perhaps someday you too can become a switchable.  It'd be nice.

What be AC/DC--ain't gonna happen. Your statement is ridiculous--perhaps one day you too can become non-ridiculous. It would be nice.

Marquette 2015 target DJ Williams of Simeon committed to Illinois and had this to say:

"I told my brother Charles(Matthews) I'm going to be on him to come down there with me," Williams said. "Him and Diamond Stone, those are going to be the first two I get on."
