Sounds like this kid is going to be a player. Never heard such high praise from Buzz regarding a true Freshman.
I already was excited to see this kid play for us.
Now doubly so.
If JJJ actually beats out Mayo, and if Mayo takes his first-guard-off-the-bench role seriously and without pouting, all of a sudden I feel better about our backcourt even without a proven PG.
I think he will be an absolute BEAST!!!!! I truly believe this is a future NBA first rounder

I truly hope you're right. The Buzz quotes are from his presser 2 weeks ago. Not sure about the players, but the author may have been saving the story for a rainy day. Nonetheless, good read, and I'm pumped to watch JJJ in an MU uniform.
They didn't pick a great picture for him, though!
Not only talented but a true team player and mature beyond his years . Can't wait to see him play.
For a freshman that is ranked pretty high, gotta love his attitude. He does expect to play, but he knows if he doesnt put in the work/be tough it wont happen. Cant wait for the season to start. Team has a lot of upside!
Ballsy prediction from a freshman:
"We have higher expectations after reaching two Sweet 16's and having the Elite Eight next year."

Pretty sure he was referring to MU having reached two Sweet 16s, the Elite the next year (after the two Sweet 16s)...
I was a little worried after reading here and on Dodds that JJJ was really bad at the pro-am and would play less than the other freshmen. Good to learn those fears were groundless.
