Is he announcing at 4:59pm? Everyone will start complaining that we got a great recruit who is not over 6'9.

Who is Everyone?
BTW, 247 Crystal Ball just had Tory Miller prediction go back to 100% Colorado. Only 3 predictions, but all CU.
Does McKay transfer help with recruiting? Less personnel to fight for minutes?
All I know about Shayok is that if he commits to MU, Scoopers will anoint him the next Jimmy Butler and if he doesn't, he'll be a turd unworthy of suiting up for Buzz Williams.
Any chance Shayok had a 5" growth spurt today?
Now that have Cohen, and Hill have committed not sure how Shayok fits, what type of player is he, can he play power forward?
he can play PF as much as Jamil Wilson can. Practically exact same height and builds when coming out of high school. Same athleticism too.
We want this one.

Or the Zar, Jimmy, Jae stretch 4.

He's 6"8 but skinny as a rail. If Hayward could play the 5, Shayok could do it in a pinch. But I think he's more likely to backup the 3/4

He's not even close to 6'8". Having stood near him at Madness and played volleyball against Jamil in high school (and still being the same height as I was in high school), I found Jamil to be significantly taller than Shayok is.

Not saying that you are wrong. I'm just showing that I didn't throw out an arbitrary number

The messages under this link say it is between Providence and Marquette, so Viginia may have been eliminated. I really want to get him and it even becomes more critical, because if we do not he is going to another member of our conference,
I hate commenting on recruits if I don't even know what they look like.
I don't know how all of you do it!

There. Better now.
The spot on the plane is ready for you, Mr. Shayok!
Tory Miller, Satchel Pierce, and Marial Shayok your table is set. ;)

Would be nice. But looks like Miller might be a CU lean and Pierce to Pitt. I think there's a good chance we don't get either so hopefully Buzz has some plans for a big.
The problem with finding a big is that there arent that many of them. Im fine with loading up on quality guards and wing players because even if we do get a big for next year, they are gonna be a major project like Otule was. Granted Otule is a solid player but its going to take some time for them to develop.

It depends on our scrimmage results with UVA. If we lose that scrimmage, we might lose both Shayok AND some face in the polls
True about their not being many, but if we can't get a good quality big, given all the playing time available next season, when will we?

When a high percentage of them aren't already committed elsewhere.
Shayok verbally to MU

Today has been just so surreal.
No kidding. But getting Shayok is a log bigger news than losing McKay. Marquette came out ahead in these transactions.
