Also Davante 1st Team, Jamil 2nd Team.

Seeing it now on the Media Day stream / information page.  Slick page, how about that for conference website power?  Not sure if they're missing a ballot or someone just didn't vote, but MU with five of nine first place votes, Georgetown with two, Creighton and St. John's one each.

It's a nice honor, but it is worth very little.   I guess I am fixated on the how much this team may be counting on freshmen in the backcourt.   I believe all the pieces are there, but I am always nervous counting on freshmen.    Sometimes you get the 3 amigos.   Sometimes you get Bell, Mason, Christian, Matthews and end up in the NIT.

Props to JWill.  When the announcer started a question discussing that he had been joined by Chris and Gardner in NYC, JWill went out of his way to include our 'ace sharpshooter' Jake Thomas before moving into the content of the question.

Yup, you never know with freshmen.

You can get Matthews, James, McNeal and go to the NCAAs in arguably the toughest league in history.

Or you can have Key, Logterman, McIlvaine, Brakes and not even make the NIT.   You never know.

Buzz must have submitted his ballot late.  Too busy shopping with the boys.

All this means is that at the end of the year, we won't be able to say, "Everybody picked us for the middle of the pack in the Big East, but we showed them!"

Now that we've been picked first, all we can do is either live up to expectations or fail to meet them.

We can save our overachieving for the NCAAs!

You always got to worry about the press.  Practice against six guys, if you have to, but be ready for it!

I'm interested to see how a coach, and subsequently his program, that has done so much to play the lack of respect angle deals with the pressure of being the hunted.

Buzz picked us 10th to try to push us down the standings.  When asked, he replied, "That's where I really believe we are at this point."  He will just have to use the five non-first place votes (four excluding his own) as evidence of doubters.
