Are there any exhibitions or scrimmages scheduled for this season? I don't see anything on the muscoop wiki schedule.

Can't risk dropping a seeding line or 3.
The exhibitions would have been announced with the rest of the schedule.
The scrimmages against another D1 team officially can't be publicized, so it's hard to tell if they're scheduled. Safe bet that Buzz is going that route again, though. No reason not to.
Better clear that with KW first, hey?

Larry's got a brother? Thought this stopped at MU when the Harbaugh's skedaddled.

Lets just make sure that media does not get a whiff of it if we lose, and gets a healthy whiff if we win.
Sadly in 2008 one of the first stories that the national media picked up on was Beasley dropping 45 points on us in a 23 point loss to Kansas state in our own gym.
Although we did a good job of letting the local media know about our big win over UVA last year. Pretty sure that when we were all expecting a 5 seed last year the committee took into consideration our home win against UVA last year.

You still don't quite understand that it was meaningless.
LOL sure they did.....

It is not meaningless if the media hears about it. The Selection committee than takes two teams with similar resumes and most likely have to use some sort of tie breaker. Probably down on the list is "head to head in a pre-season organized scrimmage" and KSU's road win against Marquette (Where it is very tough to win at) gave them the seed bump. You gotta hold serve at home guys even in an organized pre-season scrimmage that is closed door to fans and media.

Your paranoia is so odd that it gives me comfort.
::)
Speaking of Michael Beasley where does his performance against Marquette rank on the list of "Most dominating performance by a freshman from the visiting team in a Pre-Season Organized closed door scrimmage that is closed to the media and fans" Probably close 1 or 2 you would think?
Not even sure how we heard about his 56 point 25 rebound 6 block outburst which lead KSU to that 33 point win on that cold October morning at the Al McGuire center; always though this was closed to the media.
Just above Derrick Wilson's 38 pt. outburst in a summer league game.
Actually, didnt Cadougan score like 55 in the Scion Dental Pro-AM this summer. Probably the best ever performance by "an outgoing graduating Canadian Senior who played for a Big East team at a Pro-Am sponsored by a large dental group where one team was sponsored by a Milwaukee personal injury lawyer who was in a commercial with a past MVP QB from the state of California and where the games where played in the gym of a newly refurbished Milwaukee Suburban HS."
You know KW? You are 100% correct.
kW, gotta admit, you made me chuckle.
You too Sultan.
What's most impressive about Beasley's performance is that he managed to put up that many points and score MVP honors in a practice drill situation where it's forbidden to keep score. He done changed the game, yo.

As a Greenfield school district tax payer please do not call that brand new gym refurbished ;)
Thought the whole school was new?
Virginia is one of the scrimmages based on these UVA Twitter sources.

IIRC, MU scrimmaged them last year. Are Bennett and Buzz friends?

And people question the education system in America. Pfft.

yes it is, if the first referendum would have passed it was 1/2 the cost of the result of the 3rd time around

As a fan, scrimmages suck cause we never see them and they feed the rumor mill. All games should be exhibitions with newcomers profiled.

Rumor mill! No such thing exists! Only factual reporting around here. ;)

Go dig up the attendance numbers for past exhibitions against Parkside or whatever, and remember that MU had to pay for using the BC that day.

Furthermore, it seems rather obvious that Buzz prefers scrimmages...otherwise why would he continue to have them?
I like the scrimmage idea much more than the exhibition against UW-Lake Butte Des Mortes
Most years I'd do two scrimmages with another D-I program.
Open up an intra-squad scrimmage or two to the public.

You think this place is bad now, imagine if we lost to LeMoyne in one of those exhibitions?

Haunted Hoops is always open to the public, right?
Illinois State is coming here October 27 per Paint Touches.
Don't wanna lose to the Redbirds.
Ay, some players on that team even though they've had roster movement like no other.
Check for Zach Lofton, JUCO transfer who's from the Twin Cities. He can score. Except you probably can't check for him when he's in Milwaukee. If you do, don't post about it.
Illinois State got gutted by transfers and graduation last season. Should be a nice cupcake for our guys to beat up on. UVA on the other hand is a legit contender this year.

Yeah, but that's like a And-1 game on crack. And crack is Wack!
Illinois State is at Marquette on the 27th.
Virginia is at MU on the 2nd.
