Just giving my two cents about madness with reviews for every player.

Duane Wilson: Hit the open shots, was really aggressive on his drives but made very careless turnovers and a lot of them

John Dawson: surprised me a lot. Deceivingly athletic, smarter with the basketball then Duane was but not as good with his handles. Nice surprise should be a solid player

Deonte burton: won't see the court this year. Not a good shooter can't finish at the rim unless its a dunk. Just seemed outmatched for a lot of it. Decent defender though.

Jajuan Johnson: he's as good as advertised. Really stepped up and showed he can play with the big boys. Real smooth stroke from outside and can drive the ball as well. Not afraid.

Jameel McKay: disappointed with him. Didn't see anything on the offensive end. Rebounding was good but nothing spectacular. Not the 2nd coming of jae crowder

Steve Taylor: Steve did work on the boards. Ton of offensive rebounds nice put backs and tip ins. Look for him to start at the 4

Juan Anderson: really really impressed by Juan. He looks focused his shots were dropping and his defense was incredible

Derrick Wilson: did as expected no turnovers smart with the ball thou did look more for driving lanes and looked to finish better. Had a spectacular behind the back pass. Still can't hit a jumper though. Played great defense. Looks like he will be able to hold on to the starting job

Todd mayo: focused. You can tell he got in a full offseason of work. Looks much better, took some really dumb shots but looked to drive more then shoot like he normally does.

Jamil wilson: when he asserts his will he is good. His dunk over I wanna say outle was spectacular. Like jaw dropping. If he stays aggressive he will be good.

Davante Gardner: looked awful to be honest. Messing around, didn't really care. Scored some points, hit a 3 and some midrange shots but just did not look motivated or interested,

Chris outle: didn't play a whole lot but I just think buzz wanted to rest him. He is an old man after all. But in the minutes he did play he looked great. Rebounded well, caught all of his passes and a couple of beautiful put backs.

This is a great synopsis.  Can't take too much from these types of scrimmages, but I was also very impressed with Juan.  I think he is going to surprise this year.

Also liked what I saw of Dawson, seemed really composed and patient.  He may not be a big player this year, but I think he will be down the road.

Some good observations. I do disagree on a couple though. Todd Mayo looked good but he didn't have a full off-season of work in fact I don't think he went through any individual workouts because of knee surgery. So he may be looking even better by the time Haunted Hoops rolls around.

I also thought Jameel looked really good. He's very active and has a knack for getting the ball. I also thought he had a couple nice drive and dishes. One in particular was a beautiful pass to Chris right on target and on time it looked very fluid.

I also think Burton could still see some time because of his size.
