Did the Journal-Sentinal do a report like this?

And Raf was on campus this week as well. Could have easily snagged an interview.
onions, double order!
Just to be fair, please do remember that the JS Sports page has 3 professional teams to cover, all of which are/were active as the Brewers season winds down and the Bucks start camp. And that's after the Packers take 3/4 of the section on a daily basis. Then we have Badger football to cover as well.
Look, a nice feature article on MU would be nice but does one really think it'll make the paper right now? Milwaukee isn't Omaha.
I THINK I SAW A THREE COLUMN ARTICLE ON GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMING THIS WEEK .... JUST TO BE FAIR

Wouldn't be remotely surprised if JS analytics show that more people click on a story about girls high school swimming than one on MU. Prep sports coverage garners many, many eyeballs for local newspapers.

As a former HS Swimmer, I fail to see your point. Especially since I was lucky if I got my name in the tiny type of the box score section.

He's right...there's at least a full page of prep sports coverage every day in the Journal Sentinel.
Ol' Bill must have been drunk... as usual.

Every paper has local a prep sports page with appropriate seasonal coverage. I'd hope to see articles about HS football or Fall swimming or soccer. That's certainly at least a half page of coverage that would prime MU hoops right now. In fact in rural places, it's often the lead story.
And I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about your use of ALL CAPS. Not quite sure why you might have shouted.
Other big stories:
Al Michaels says he's impressed with the NFL.
Mike Mayock says he's impressed with Notre Dame.
The MLB Network is running ads about how good MLB is.
Nothing against Raf, but the primary reason he is employed by FS1 is to broadcast Big East hoops. What's he gonna say?
We get national coverage by publications who actually make money... Seems reasonable for the JS to punt on offseason stories if they'll be covered elsewhere.
HS girls swimming will really only be covered by JS

For MU the new Big East is a step down and for Creighton it is a step up. There is more of a reason for the Omaha paper to have an article.

And I think a lot of those stories are imported by the old Community Newspapers, who JS bought about 15 years ago to beef up local coverage.
