All Wisconsin natives...except Harris. Not a biggie.

It's never a bad day when a top 10 recruit is on your campus.
Nick Noskowiak just tweeted that he's at Soblemens on campus with Malek Harris, Cody, and Diamond.

Can't hurt the cause.
Great to see that the new frosh next year are working on the next group, big help if they get along.
Hope they go to Real Chili. Done deal.

Sweet Jesus.
Now our recruits are recruiting for us.
That's a hallmark of a great program.

More desperate than great. (No, I'm not saying MU is desperate. I'm saying they're not needed. They're just hanging out.)

So you think it's just ironic that Noskowiak happened to come to campus from over an hour away on the same weekend that Malek Harris happened to come to campus from over an hour away, and it just happened to be the same weekend that Marquette hosted 2 potential recruits on unofficial visits? This is not just 4 guys hanging out, it is absolutely a recruiting move, and Marquette is far from the only school/program that does this.

Disagree. I'm not sure how often its utilized in bball, but in football, coaches try to hook up recruits with others who have already committed. Players can say things that coaches can't and don't have limits on how much time they can spend together.
This can only be a good thing
+1. Best tool that we have.

If it was a home game that'd be valid but it away and the other Sconies met up.

Seth got in a pretty serious fight with Summer. Sandy had to stay and officiate.

Do you try to find reasons to be mad about things? Between this comment and your comment of the "forced" offer and/or commitment of Flory, it's like you are *trying* to be negative.
I don't know. Maybe he had a family wedding to attend...maybe he decided it was too far...maybe he simply wanted to stay home. Are you doubting his commitment?

I blatantly said I didn't believe Buzz was forced but was trying to stir the pot and see what others thought playing the devils advocate so to speak. And there is nothing wrong with questioning why someone wasnt there. It has nothing to do with his commitment that's you attempting to insert negative meaning to my statements, which isn't a very nice thing to do.

As someone who has edited hundred of students previously, let me offer you a little suggestion.
"I wonder why Sandy Cohen wasn't there?"
The use of the word "excuse" on your part implies a negative.

Sorry that the way I speak isn't to your liking but I'm not going to change because some guy on a message board about MU bball reads me to be more negative than I am.

Well, hopefully before MU grants you your degree, you will understand how to use the English language in a manner that accurately reflects your state of mind.

I just took my daughter to a Big 10 university and the best tour we had was when a group of art students took her into their classrooms and talked to her about the school's arts and graphics design program. Kids can talk to kids, say things the way the kids want to hear it etc.
My daughter came out of that meeting wanting to head for the cornfields. I'm sure the existing recruits could leave an equally strong impression on the pending recruits.

Fair enough. My sister had a similar experience at St. Norbert's. She got lecutured about saying that something sucked. Walked out and never looked back.
So I'll rephrase: "This has a good probability of being a good thing"

I personally think it's fantastic that Nick and Malek thought enough of their future program to commit a weekend day to entertaining two prospective recruits. I hope the guys all had fun together.

This is what really matters. Less than 2 months until meaningful games! Judging by all the posts surrounding the absence of a player who already committed to his dream school, we really need that time to pass.

To re-affirm interest. To let him know expectations. To communicate. Even after you are married, you still need date-night.

Knowing Buzz, they probably talk everyday anyway. Maybe Buzz is going to stop and tell McCarthy and Capers whom Antoin Bolden is?

Thanks Chicos. It's Iowa and she's choosing between Iowa and two other comparable universities.
We're almost as proud as if she were a Warrior! Seriously, she;s done well.
This is why it would hurt if Looney chose Wisconsin. Stone went on an unofficial to Wisco with Looney. So, if Looney goes elsewhere, Stone is looking at a school where the kid he visited with chose somewhere else, but MU will be the school he went on an unofficial with two kids committed to going there and a third, Cody Schwartz, who may very well end up there, as well.
Is there a Midnight Madness tracker yet? We tend to do ok with getting commitments out of our visitors.

That was easier than I thought it would be.
All I'm saying is that while visiting Wisconsin with Looney, Stone probably got an earful of how great Wisco was going to be with both of them there. So, if Kevon goes elsewhere, that should take a little of the air out of Stone's Wisco visit since it'll point out that Kevon could say no to that.
However, the guys Stone visited MU with are in two cases committed to going to MU, and a third has a good chance of ending up there, so any conversations they might have had about what they'd accomplish together at MU could have some lasting impact.
