Many games going to CBS Sports Network
-
Our rival is St. John's. I like it. Wonderful history.
-
More great news. Only ONE home conference game when the students are gone. DePaul on Saturday 1/4.
-
As a guy who lives in Chicago I plan on going to 8 of those games. The six Saturday home games, at Butler, and at Depaul. Depending on work I might also be able to sneak in at Xavier and G'town at home.
Man, this schedule is great.
-
Respect the game, respect the opponent.
-
Teamdee right. No matter what the schedule is, the game doesn't change.
-
Play for the name on the front of the jersey. Not the back.
-
They have to approach this schedule one game at a time.
-
Let the game come to you.
-
Saturday/Monday at Butler and at G'town.
Sunday/Tuesday at Villanova and at Providence.
Considering the schedule as a whole not too bad.

I like the TV locations also. I get the CBS Sports Network. Glad to see no FS2 games as that's on a separate tier that I don't currently have. Looks like I don't need to upgrade my Optimum Cablevision TV package.
-
FOX Sports 1 will air 108 regular-season games, and an additional 9 tournament games.
FOX Sports 2 will air 12 games. (To find the channel location for FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2 on local distributors, use the channel locator at http://msn.foxsports.com/.)
CBS Sports Network will air 18 games, and 2 additional games will air on CBS Sports.
FOX Sports Network will air up to 18 games regionally. FOX Sports (FBC) will televise one game featuring BIG EAST teams.
-
Looking at gomarquette.com , the Ohio State game is going to be on FOX rather than FX1... that should mean an Erin Andrews appearance as the BC

No it won't!
She is the college football studio host as Fox will have a primetime game and three on FS1.

Question: Could MU possibly play ASU twice or is the game at ASU part of the Wooden?
I'm looking forward to a rematch against Miami too, that would be a fun game.
-
Hey TerrorSkank, have anything constructive to contribute?
-
Fox Sports sublicensed 20 Big East basketball games to CBS Sports for the upcoming season. CBSSN will carry 18 games and the broadcast network will carry two games. CBS will carry Butler-Georgetown on Feb. 8 and Marquette-Villanova March 2. FS1 has committed to carry 108 Big East basketball games, punctuated by a New Year's Eve marathon of five games that will run from noon to midnight. FSN will carry another 18 games regionally, according to a schedule the network released this afternoon.

Could possibly play twice. MU plays at ASU on its way to CA for the Wooden Legacy.

I am now a Cable / Satellite free agent as we have been released from the shackles of Sports 32.
I like having Watch ESPN available for TWC. Do Dish, DIRECT or AT&T all have that option?

One possession at a time.

FSN ----> Does that mean the game could end up on the YES Network, for example?

Home games against G'Town and Creighton on weekday nights...

I'm in the same boat. TWC Sports 32 still runs the Buzz Williams show though...

4 of first 6 conference games on the road
OTOH, MU has a stretch of 5 of 7 at the BC from 1/25 to 2/19.

DISH's ESPN contract expires end of this month. Big article in Wall Street Journal today about Charlie Ergen seriously considering dropping ESPN altogether due to cost. I doubt it happens, but he's a crazy man.
DIRECTV will have Watch ESPN likely next year when their contract is up with ESPN. Basically Disney has been using it as a chit in negotiations. DTV and others have wanted it for a long time, but Disney has said no unless they carry Longhorn Network, pay a king's ransom for the programming, etc, etc. So I would guess in 2014 is when the Watch ESPN app for DTV. Can't speak for AT&T, not sure where they stand.
-
Way too early prediction:
13-5 conference record this year. (Projected Losses @CREIGH, @SJU, @GTWN, @NOVA, and our annual loss to a conference opponent we should have beat)
-
FSN ----> Does that mean the game could end up on the YES Network, for example?
I don't think so, but not sure. Are you talking about the 18 regional games? Might be they go on the alternate channel overflow that some providers have and some don't.
-
So who is televising the Wisconsin game? The BTN?
-

I'm looking forward to a rematch against Miami too, that would be a fun game.
I'm thinking GW beats Miami.
-
So who is televising the Wisconsin game? The BTN?
Since the game falls on a college football Saturday and the time start of 1:15pm, it has BTN wriiten all over it.

Just noticed you do have some other 1 day rest turn arounds. Was not use to Sunday-tuesday and Thursday-saturday turn arounds. So you actually have 4 games on 1 day rest.
-
The schedule on GoMarquette shows every single game televised on FS1, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FOX, FSN, CBS or CBS SPORTS. I am a very happy man, and I love me some DIRECTV. Now, can it be November yet??? Please???
-
What's with this FSN? Southern and Samford won't be big misses here out East, buy my niece went to SHU and I want to see that one. Will have to hope for streaming, I guess. I thought the big deal with Fox Sports 1 was that ALL BE games would be aired. What happened to that happy thought? Delayed telecast?

No TV for Wisconsin?
FSN means it'll be on a FOX regional sport's network. I'm guessing that since FOX owns a chunk of YES that the Marquette FSN games will end up there especially against Seton Hall of which I expect to watch that one live anyway.

No more TWC32? Yeah!! Will no longer be forced to find a bar carrying TWC!!

Since the game falls on a college football Saturday and the time start of 1:15pm, it has BTN wriiten all over it.
There are six regular FBS games scheduled for 12/7... the only compelling games of which are OSU/OK and Baylor/Texas, the rest which are AAC throwaways. Otherwise, it's conference championships for everyone else, and the big games will all be in primetime.
CUSA - afternoon (ESPN2 or ABC)
MWC - 9:00p (CBSN)
ACC - TBA (ESPN or ABC)
Pac 12 - 8:00p (ESPN or ABC)
Big 10 - 7:00p (FOX)
SEC - TBA (CBS)
So on the football side, Wisconsin/Marquette is up against the CUSA championship, one of the Big 12 games, and a bunch of AAC games. BTN is probable, but it's not out of the question that ESPN2 or U could pick it up... maybe even CBS or FOX (who owns half the BTN) if they want to fill their afternoon with something. The question is what other compelling basketball match-ups are scheduled that day?
