Pretty nice highlight package. Mute if you can.
57 seconds in watch a cheerleader face plant.
That was fun. My senior year. Thanks for posting it.
A few impressions and/or things this film reminded me of:
-- Michael Wilson was a hell of an all-around player. Excellent defender, good shooter (I believe over 50%; great for a guard), very athletic. Played taller than he was. At about the 5:20 mark of the film, he shatters the backboard!
-- Brian Nyenhuis kind of was that year's Trent Lockett for me. I wasn't sure about him early but he came on to be a valuable contributor.
-- Dean Marquardt made a sweet, sweeping LH hook. If only he had been healthy for his entire MU career, he might have been an outstanding player. I forgot how highly rated a recruit he was.
-- Rivers was so much fun to watch, though I know he drove Hank nuts sometimes.
-- For a guy who hardly played (and hardly played well when he did play), lots of air time in that film for Greg Shimon. Meanwhile, Terrell Schlundt was hardly shown even though he was a starter.
-- I forgot that Terry Reason didn't have the pharaoh look as a freshman. He was rocking a great 'fro, though!
-- Nice untucked unis. The NCAA Fashion Nazis wouldn't allow 'em now.
-- Lots and lots of scenes of us bitch-slapping Dayton, which is always enjoyable.
-- I remember we were 4-4 after getting killed at home by Minnesota just before break and people were panicking. Only lost 4 more regular-season games the rest of the way.
-- We lost a heartbreaker to Mizzou in the NCAAs that year. Glad they didn't show that!
Doc Rivers had some HOPS!!!! See @ 2:37!!! Jordanesque!!!! :o
Ugh! Those collared, short-sleeved, heavy polyester jerseys they made the women's team wear ---
What was that about? Modesty? Did they think that women didn't play hard enough to break a sweat and needed the warmth?

What's wrong with show tunes?
Nice appearance by the MECCA floor that just had its own thread.
Waitin' on the Dukiet era highlight CD.

I had a friend who was on the ladies team. She HATED the unis!
What. Where is Trish the Dish?
Gotta love Duquesne, Stetson, Iona, Maine, Detroit and Dayton on the schedule.
Wisconsin actually had pretty cool unis back then. I think they've gotten a little worse every year since. Soon, UW will just be wearing read ponchos.
Someone needs to remix that video. I think we could cut it down to 1:30 with some better music.
