Title: Jim Gaffigan
Post by: 77ncaachamps on June 03, 2013, 10:31:25 PM
Anybody Gaffigan fans?

He sold out his ONLY appearance in the Bay Area (why only one?! I have no clue), but he is celebrating the end of the year (New Year's Eve) in Milwaukee with two concerts.

I wondered why, and did some sleuthing.

His wife, Jeannie Noth, is a Marquette grad so NYE is gonna be a local one.

He's done that for several years now. It's turning into somewhat of a Milwaukee NYE tradition, kind of like the Harlem Globetrotters.

She may be from Milwaukee, but that face was sculpted in LA.

I've been to the Milwaukee NYE concert, I think the first year he did it which was 4 years ago. He's been doing it every year. Its a decent show, but its all the exact same material from his albums, which is great stuff, but there's not much fresh material. I also saw him at Loyola Chicago and he did the exact show there as well.

Also, in the 2011 NYE show Johnny Beehner, an MU alum, opened for him. He performs all around the midwest, and wouldn't be surprised if he opened for him again this year. He's pretty hilarious.

My wife and kids got me "Dad is Fat" for my birthday this past weekend.  I am glad I knew what the book was before I opened the present or I might have not have had the right reaction.

My wife and I caught his current tour in Westchester in early March.  Filled up 4,000 seat there.  80% new stuff, I'd say.  Stuck some of his "Hot Pockets" and "Bacon" stuff in there.  Was an enjoyable hour or so.

Probably his Mr. Universe stuff.

Perfect. Can't wait to see what she looks like 30 years from now...

I think she looked just fine. Why do folks think these procedures make them better? She looks ghoulish.
