ESPN's Eamonn Brennan with a good summary and analysis of the Depaul arena saga and their attendance number fudging.
For the city long term, is it better to go ahead with this even if Depaul won't consistently be able to deliver 9,500 fans?

Wouldn't be the first time they did without knowing the answer.
Attendance numbers are always listed as tickets sold.
I love this. Emanuel calls Navy Pier "cheesy"...and then wants to develop McPier with hotels and the arena so he can eventually build a casino. Yeah - that will get rid of "cheesy."

Navy Pier and McCormick Place are managed under the same umbrella: McPier, but Navy Pier and McCormick Place are in two different locations. The arena, hotels and casino will all be at a different location than Navy Pier.
