Title: 60 Minutes Sports On The Kunckle Ball Features an MU Prof
Post by: Tugg Speedman on May 02, 2013, 05:01:40 PM
Showtime airs a sports show called "60 minutes sports."

The latest edition features a profile of knuckleball pitcher RA Dickey (Cy Young winner with the Mets last year and on the Blue Jays this year).  Leslie Staley was the reporter.

In the segment they talked about what makes the knuckleball such a difficult pitch.  To explain it they had a segment from MU engineering school where an aerodynamics professor  has a wind tunnel that studies the knuckleball and called him one of the world's experts on the pitch.  (I believe his name is John Berg or something like that ... they did not have a graphic with his name on the screen, only said it)

This is a two minute version of the 17 minute segment and it does feature some footage from the MU engineering school and the wind tunnel studying the knuckleball.
