Says loss of Vander will hurt, but Gardner will be a force.

I'm digging the conference designations, MU, Butler and others as Big East, Louisville, UCONN, and Memphis as AAC.
Also, when did UCONN change their logo?

I loved this UConn logo:

The B1G and Pac-12 both have six teams each in his poll. The Big East has five and the "mighty" ACC has four.
The intern writing Dicky V's stuff didn't put a lot of effort into that.
Dickie V's ranking... that means alot.

I really like it. I wish Marquette could design a Golden Eagle that looks just as badass.

Yeah, don't get too carried away with their new logo. It is being objected to by at least one student as being intimidating and suggesting rape. Likely that the PC crowd will appoint a committee to review it.

Suggesting rape??? Clearly, I'm missing something.
I am thoroughly amazed at how in-depth his "analysis" is. Sadly, this is probaly the last research he will do prior to calling games for ESPN next year.

I'd be surprised if it's all his own analysis. I remember a story I heard about a guy working at ESPN that did research on one of the small conference teams in the tournament. Looked up who their best players were, style of play, coach's name, and just a big of miscellaneous info about them. Vitale walked in not knowing anything about them, the guy fed him about 60 seconds of info, and Vitale went live on camera raving about the team, saying how much he loved them, and just recycling what he had been told a minute earlier with his classic "oh baby" panache.
After hearing that, I lost a lot of respect for Vitale. He comes across as far more knowledgeable than he actually is.

It is willies attempt at humor. In reference to the article posted about the UCONN Huskies new mascot being intimidating to some nut job.

Not an attempt at humor. The article clearly states female objecting due to logo being intimidating and suggesting rape. Then the article points out of two cases last year of student athletes accused of rape.

Except that he never actually appeared to be knowledgeable in the first place.
Rankings means nothing because we prove the masses wrong every year.

Vitale is a tool, an Al wannna-be. Last year we weren't in his preseason top 40. I suspect he'll under values us again this year.
Say what you will but I personally would actually miss Vitale if/when he stops. I'm not endorsing him as a top announcer but after all of these years he's grown on me kind of like listening to Max McGee doing the old Packer broadcasts.
