Good hire for Purnell. Very connected in Chicago recruiting circles.
Now if he could only stop getting arrested ....

I am certain that the ad matched with the article -- "5 signs that you'll get cancer"-- is just an unfortunate paring.

Good hire for Purnell.

Don't be so sure this was Purnell's decision. His leash is short.

Starting to look that way.  Same thing happened to Wainwright when he was forced to fire his assistants (...including his son) and bring a whole new staff.

Guessing it's not Purnell's decision to put two popular DPU alums on his staff.

That said, Strickland's a good hire.  He helped get Derrick Rose to Memphis and Anthony Davis to UK.  He can go on the recruiting trail and tell kids, "Hey, I played 17 seasons in the league, and I've worked with Derrick Rose, John Wall, and Kyrie Irving. (Irving is Strickland's godson.) I know what I'm doing."

Perhaps he figures Purnell will be gone before long and this his shot at coaching
