Can shoot. We need shooters.

Don't recall ever seeing his name mentioned with MU. We do need shooters though.
IMO... highly unlikely. He's fully indoctrinated into the extended UW family.
"Golly, Dad... I really want to play at Wisconsin, but Bo won't give me a chance. I'm as traditional as they come, yet all he said he could do for me is put in a good word with his predecessor's son."
Sure he's a 36.1/37.0% (FG/3FG) shooter, but he averaged less than 5 PPG. If a kid with those same percentages who averaged 13+ PPG at SD couldn't make a consistent impact at MU this year, what makes anyone think Jesperson could do better?

........ We do need shooters though.
Suprised on comment especially with the potraits of the new recruits coming..this may be the best class of shooters we have recruited in 20 years.
McKay doesn't shoot the 3, but has a good mid range. The other 4 all have good to great 3 pt shooting:
JJJJ-Great
Wilson-Good/Great
Burton-Good
Dawson-Above average
Sounds like he got "Bennetted"...
Who cares that he's a shooter who can't shoot and spent last season as a below average role player on a mediocre team? He's an in-state recruit! Go get him, Buzz!

Good thing the "-ed" fad wasn't around when Dick Bennett ran players off...
I guess some would have put Jake Thomas in that 'great' shooters category also. Time will tell about the needed outside shooting of our recruits.

Exactly. Didn't this guy just leave MU?
Pass, unless he wants to walk-on. The only thing this guy does reasonably well is shoot 3's. The rest of his game is below average from what I've seen.

Not sure why Wilson, who shot 55% from 3 this year, wouldn't be considered unquestionably "great." Not singling you out, but everyone opining for shooters constantly overlooks this fact. Maybe it's because he's so athletic? Not sure, but he's a great shooter, no doubt.

Well, for starters, the quality of competition at Virgina and the ACC is a lot closer to what MU sees in the Big East than what Jake Thomas saw at South Dakota in the Summit.
His two-year progression is pretty close to what we have with Juan Anderson. He's a better shooter, but not as good at rebounding. Stays out of foul trouble slightly better, slighly worse A/T ratio. Slightly better +/-.

I'm not saying I think he'll come to MU or that we want him. (we already have Juan Anderson). But the comparison with Jake Thomas is terrible.

True...or the Urban Dictionary...
Although "Knighted" would have had a positve ring to it..."Carnesecca'ed" or "Massimino'ed" would have been a great conversation starter....how about "Lou-Do'ed" when Lou Henson brought out the hair trimmer at Illinois?
MU's at the scholarship max right this second. Who you guys kicking out for a rail thin guy who can't score in the ACC?

But he's white so he can shoot, duh!
Going back to the farm and hope that a gopher or badger shows up.

My bad... my reading skilz must not be as mad as I think they were because I mistakenly assumed the implication of the OP's "we need shooters" statement was that Jesperson was a shooter. I withdraw my comparison, because comparing/contrasting two players' ability to fill a particular role is a poor comparison when you can use things like two-year progressions.
Well, if Jesperson = Juan Anderson, maybe we should give him a look now.
If you're looking for him, look at N. Iowa.
Leave him be

Virginia wasn't willing to give him the Bennett of the doubt.
Live in Central Wisco---You don't want him. 2-star at most.
