Title: One Shining Moment
Post by: Stronghold on April 08, 2013, 11:17:52 PM
3 of them were good, 1 was Syracuse scoring on us, 1 was Buzz with his hands on his head.  You?

Did they show the Blue drive against Davidson?  Unfortunately two of the three shots I caught were Buzz looking frustrated and getting dunked on against Cuse

Seriously? Nothing from the Davidson or Butler dramatics? Good shot of Gardner, though.

4? MU scenes.

1. jumping around pregame
2. Otule/davidson player going for rebound
3. Davante/etc going nuts (i think after Butler)
4. Cuse scoring on us

There was a close up of buzz groaning too.

Yes, 5 appearances (one I'd like to forget).  By far the most images of an MU team since '03 (if not greater).

My eyes well up with emotion every year that song starts.  I need help.

I get chills every year. Nothing for you to be ashamed about. It's the greatest 3 weeks of the year.

That song is so unbelievably corny, but it was awesome to see MU shown so many times.

I would have liked to see more of Doug Gottlieb in that rendition of One Shining Moment.

Don't be picky. We got great pub on that one. Every high school player was watching that and we were on 5 times with one close up of our coach.  Could not ask for anything more. Buzz will have us in the promised land soon.

I wish they would go back to the original version of the song. And they used to have the piano prelude to the song while they showed the players cutting down the nets and rolling the production credits.

Choosing the stupid "Muhammed Ali" dance over Buzz's mid-court groove showed poor taste

It is so cheesy but I don't care.  I love it every year.  Surprised Vander's game winner against Davidson wasn't included.

More motivation for Vander to return for his senior campaign (sarcasm off...kinda).

The absence of Vander's layup was just mind boggling as it was the first successful game winning shot in the tourney in like 5 years or something. Not to mention it kept an Elite Eight team alive in the first round

On the other hand Deadspin's "Dumb Shining Moment", its lowlight reel of stupid plays and such, features nothing of Marquette.

That is, unless you count Brad Steven's immortal expression of anguish.

That was a doozy of a tie Buzz was wearing in that clip.

It should have been all Marquette highlights and then maybe, if there's time, a quick shot of Louisville cutting down the nets.

Has this board ever not found something to complain about?

C'mon, you know the world hates Marquette, and the  worldwide media is conspiring to keep us under publicized.  Duh.

Totally agree.  You nailed this.  Five shots of us was one of the highest save UL and UM.  Even WSU only got a few shots at the end and they went to the GD Final Four.

Love the 8-bit music.  I might have to go dig out my NES and play me some Double Dribble tonight.

The slow motion Tubby Howland handshake was the best part.

Sounds good. You'll definitely need something to make yourself feel better after the performance of your brackets.   ;)

I wish they'd use a different song entirely because One Shining Moment is horrific.

That's the beauty of having both teams in the championship eliminated the first weekend... by the time the championship rolls around, it's a distant memory.
