Burton about to compete in dunk contest at 2 pm et/ 1 ct on CBS.
Should be exciting :o
Kendrick Nunn is also in the dunk contest. Matt Thomas is in the 3 pt contest.
Maybe we should have recruited Matt Thomas...dude can stroke the 3.

I agree, he has a pretty stroke. Buuuut... he's a traditional.
Deonte jut threw down a 360 windmill. Perfect score
Tied for first...Burton
How high is the hoop ? It looks shorter than 10.
Deonte got a perfect score again, off the side of the backboard and threw it down with a one handed reverse slam. Assist from Kendrick Nunn.
I liked the giving of fives to the kids. From what I've heard he's a solid kid.
And a helluva dunker!
Buzz was in on Thomas, but too late.
Heard several really good things about Johnson, too. Already a pretty darned good shooter in the class.
My money on Deonte at Marquette Madness. Kid can sky.

American Family Insurance high school dunk and 3 point contest
Deonte sure seems promising. He has such a unique build. He could become a force finishing at the hoop and rebounding. A lot of the dunkers have a slight build or are not bulky. Deonte has a big build yet can still get off the ground.
Can he shoot it at all?
Has anyone seen video online yet? Can't seem to find it anywhere? Thanks in advance
I haven't found it either

Yes. He can shoot it from anywhere. Gets into zones too where he's not missing. Treys, floaters, to the rack.. whatever you want, baby.. Burton is excellent. May struggle with some streaky shooting next season, but he's legit.

Sweet hd projection TV. And thanks for the link.
Too bad Jake won't be at Madness to defend his title.
Did he end up winning?

I still love this video of Duane Wilson and Diamond Stone winning the state championship this year. The fast break spin move by Wilson and then behind the back bounce pass to Stone for the dunk is pretty impressive.
Was that Raftery on the call?

Wow...I really hope Stone has a desire to continue that kind of chemistry with Wilson at MU, it would be great to have both of them in Milwaukee.
Found a good video:

Contains all the dunks of all the players with no breaks. Pretty impressive showing from young Mr. Burton.
we have some ballers coming to MU next year. So pumped for the season to finally start and for the future of MU Basketball
