Huh? I think the word you're looking for in place of "oxymoron" is "redundant." Badger trolls are always uninformed, so that is no oxymoron, that's for sure.

I suggest no one even try to argue with kcbadger. But if you do, use words like "awarded a scholarship as a 1 year, nonrenewable charity." He's obtuse and the Jake Thomas article is probably about the only thing he's had going for him since the Ole Miss loss, so he's gonna dig in. I wish Jake the best and I hate that the internet creates conspiracy theories. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
Problem is that gets picked up the state radio network and broadcast statewide as fact. I had to do a 2-minute local sportscast this morning to replace it because of it's inaccuracy.
- No mention that Jake came to MU as a walk-on
- No mention that Buzz gave him a scholarship for 2 years, including the season he sat out
- No mention that Buzz saved Jake/his family close to $100k by doing so
- No mention that Jake is graduating next month
- No mention that Jake will be eligible to play right away
That's a lot of important info that Hunt obviously knows but chose not to include in the article. That's not Hunt being lazy. That's Hunt pandering to the Wisconsinites who are looking for reasons to hate Marquette.
He knows how to play the game. Think about it, if he included all that relevant info, we wouldn't be discussing his blog.

I once again go back and retroactively lower Hunt's season-ending grade (from a previous topic) to a D-. Mike Hunt stinks!!
No argument the article was lazy. But, please remember he wrote an article on Monday that had us jumping for joy. Would much prefer he focus on the pro Buzz stuff and if he is going to be lazy the Jake story is not end of the world. His story on Buzz should stay MU was an A+.

1 article doesn't remove a year's worth of lazy, illinformed articles from his repertoire from me. Hunt is useless and gets paid for this.

One artice made his season to me. Much like Jake's 4 point play against Syracuse made his season to me. Expectations were met by both IMO. Did not have extremely high hopes for Hunt to become a MU backer or Jake to light up BE.

I change my mind, this was not a lazy article by Hunt.
This was a HATCHET job by Hunt. He clearly knew all of the Thomas facts and omitted all of the pertinent ones to make it look like Buzz ran off another player.
