What if TJ Taylor had not have been homesick and stuck around Marquette?
Would he have been able to make a difference with his scoring, especially in light of Todd Mayo's issue this past year?
What the heck is a Skink is a more important and appropriate question.

The sultan was legendary. That's like changing "warriors" to "gold". skink? Now I don't know what to think.

IIRC, Taylor was a scorer but not necessarily a good outside shooter and he ran the point some in JC. He may have taken some of DWil's minutes and likely would have taken Jake's pre-Mayo minutes.
To my surprise, Derrick and Jake played a combined 663 minutes or ~19/game. I don't say this as a knock on those two guys, but it's hard to imagine a player who is more skilled getting those 19 minutes and not having him make a difference.
At the end of the day, however, I don't see TJT as being the missing piece to a national title. (Though I realize that's not really what you're asking)
My buddies and I were talking about him after the game on Saturday, but not how he could have helped rather how he is probably pretty pissed that he missed out on this run and the national attention. To answer the question though I'd assume he would not have had much impact and would have gotten comfortable on the bench. Granted I've never seen him play but it seems to me like this was the rotation and he wasn't going to crack it.
Also lets not forget that he messed up his shoulder over the summer so he was probably going to be playing catchup for the start ala Juan.

So you're the poster formerly known as Canadian Dimes, hey?

It was easy to say "much respect, Sultan, but..." or, "Sultan, I usually agree with you, but..."
Gonna be much tougher with this skink dude.
This may have been the least likely "what if" I could have imagined when I clicked this thread.
Skank was canadian dimes?
My guess is that he would of stayed if he thought he was going to get significant playing time. He did not, so I would say he was a practice player at best.

I can guarantee that Skank is not Dimes . Skank has never been to Dick Parker's bait shop, or put a boat in behind the 100 Center.
Not sayin' that's bad....the dude doesn't fish. ;)
FYI, Chico's drove off Dimes.
Glad I can call another poster skank besides Dodds.

I know Dimes and Skank is no Canadien Dimes let me tell you.
Fonz has a new hangout.
Indeed, Hayward became Dimes. He needed to be banned multiple times as the years went on .. Unknown if he's currently banned or just didn't come back after his last one.
How Scoop survives without him is a mystery.

North Texas for a hot minute, but I thought he left there too.

FWIW, the UNT website still lists him on the roster.

Yep I saw that too, I swear I remember seeing a post where someone mentioned he left UNT. He didn't log any stats last season, would he have needed to sit for a year?
I guess I was wrong...

He had to sit out.
