Bummer to have all four games have such huge margins of victory. But at least MU's loss of 16 points is "second best" among the losers.
HANG A BANNER!!!!
BFD
I say this calls for a parade down Wells.
It does take a little of the sting out of the loss knowing Duke, Florida, and Ohio state were the other threes losers this weekend.
Yeah! I bet you'll find the players in Murphy's tonight celebrating the fact that they were only the 3rd worst loss of the Elite 8! We're better than Duke and Florida!
We hung 39 points in a game to go to a Final Four. Whether we lost 40-39 or 55-39, we're not going to the Final Four.
Only lame thing is the second lowest point total was 20 more than us. But yes, take a look at the other losers as well as Thursday and Friday's losers and it's nice company to have tied or advanced further than.
While it's not necessarily something to hang your hat on I don't think many here would argue the "moment was too big for duke" and they got obliterated. We got beat by a better team, so did Duke - it happens.

I agree with this. When you get down to the Elite Eight (or Sweet Sixteen), you better bring your A game or you're gonna get beat. Even if you do bring your A game, you still might get beat. Marquette didn't bring it's A game, but part of that was because Syracuse did and took Marquette out of everything it wanted to do. Credit to them.
Having said that, this topic is stupid. A loss is a loss, and it's not like we lost "pretty" anyways.

That's a "fact". A totally meaningless and even misleading fact, but a fact nonetheless. Has CBB taken over your person :)

My post was totally tongue in cheek. If anything, it was an observation of the fact that none of the four games had much competitive drama.

MU/Cuse was the only game where one team at some point did not have a 20 point lead on the other team.
