Title: [Cracked Sidewalks] Cracked Sidewalks 2.0
Post by: CrackedSidewalksSays on September 16, 2007, 09:30:09 PM
Cracked Sidewalks 2.0

So after 2.5 years with the same template, Cracked Sidewalks has gone "new and improved."We hope you like the new background, color scheme, and wider layout.  We will be tweaking things as the week goes on, getting ready for the new season.  If you see something you like, or hate, drop us a line in the comment section!

Little help:  Any discussion about the new template?  Does it render correctly on your browser?

I agree - my eyes are drawn outward to the crowd instead of what I am trying to read.

Something I hadn't noticed before - the page load is a *bit* slow with the background image.  At work I hadn't noticed much, but on my much slower home connection I was getting impatient  :-\

Yeah, I need to dink with that background some more .. it is pretty huge.  Once it's loaded, it caches the next time, though.  It's the dimensions that's the problem .. the quality is already down to 50, which is borderline.  I think I'll blank out the middle section.

nice update, but my concern is that the website takes forever to load on windows mobile device.  before it loaded relatively fast, now it takes forever

If I were on a mobile device .. I'd consider reading the RSS feed of CS, instead of the site itself.  That would be hella fast.
