Barkley thinks coaching will win this tournament, because there isn't a team with dominant players. After explaining this he said the following.
Paraphrasing: Buzz Williams put on a coaching clinic last night. I know Miami was hurt and sick, blah, blah, but they weren't going to win that game no matter what.
In was out to dinner tonight and saw the pre-game which had a lot of video, pictures of Buzz but the sound was off in the restaurant, can anyone give me the cliff notes version of what was said. Appeared a lot of praise based on the amount of time Buzz was on the screen.
Saw that. It was definitely cool for Buzz to get some respect on national tv.

no they had about a 5 minute feature on buzz during pre-game.
I too was at a restaurant with no sound.
I've Always Liked Barkley.
OK so I have a buddy in MSP who is convinced that since MN is looking for a coach and they are interested in Buzz that he is a candidate. I tried to explain how that job is a step down from MU. I cited salary, private jet, practice facilities, etc. Here is his response via text, I believe he is delusional.....
"That's chump change for Big Ten. We just paid $3.35M total to send Tubby south. I hope it's flip, but would take Buzz (or Jay Wright)".
Why would either Jay or Buzz take that loser job? The BCS Football schools are insane, they automatically assume they will get whomever they want. This arrogance pisses me off. Like Buzz is an afterthought.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7147795/minnesota-golden-gophers-coach-jerry-kill-signs-seven-year-contract
MINNEAPOLIS -- Jerry Kill took over Minnesota's struggling football program and assessed that rebuilding the Gophers is going to take longer than he first anticipated.
The university agreed.
His contract runs through the 2017 season and will pay him at least $1.2 million annually, half of that in base salary and the other half in supplemental compensation for appearances, endorsements and fundraising.
-----------------
Right now Buzz makes more than the head football coach, head hockey coach all the assistants COMBINED.
Minnesota is a mid-major program stuck in the B1G.
Buzz and Barkley are buddies I think. I remember Buzz saying last year that he spoke with Barkley on fairly regular basis. I do not think Buzz leaves much to chance and works the phones with many heavy hitters. He gets how the game is played.

And their hockey team lost to Yale yesterday in the NCAAs.
