Said no thank you to UCLA.
The only way Buzz takes this job is either Corey hates the cold or LW has screwed the pooch.
Lets hope neither is true.
They have also never been in my kitchen.
They appear not to d-bags looking for a "better" gig right when the local natives start questioning your "in-game" coaching abilities. ;D
They know how to beat a zone?
Younger coaches whose brains overpower their egos. There's a good chance anybody, even Smart or Stevens would fail at UCLA (particularly when winning the conference is still a "fail"). Take a bit of a cash grab for a few years, smear your name and wind up as an assistant or at a lackluster mid-major gig when you still haven't turned 40? Nah, take that $1M or so each year with a program that gives you resources you can successfully utilize, realistic expectations, and respect. For a guy like Buzz, even better when the $1M is more like $2.5M, the resources are there, and the expectations are still realistic.
