miami first
You...are awesome!!!!
Okay back to earth now. Seems like Larkin's a good guy. Gotta feel for them too since our team's been in the same situation. Great year for Miami.
Also on CBS Sports if you get that channel
Wow excuses....excuses...excuses!! :P
Thanks for posting link
Watching it now. Buzz: Happy to still be playing. He can't talk again.
Odds on Buzz taking the name tags?
Buzz is feeling a little defiant tonight. Still feeling dissed.

And he should be. But man... can that guy hold a grudge. And he remembers everything everyone has said bad about him, his team and his players.
Notre Dame whipping us recentered us.

He's a turtle. He remembers everything.

Actually a fantastic question by Hunt that made Buzz think a little, picking up on that and asking if the edge was feeling they still had something to prove or because of the lack of respect.

Didn't take them tonight. He wants the nets on Saturday as the souvenir for this trip.
Larragna with loads of excuses ::)
Buzz knocked that press conference out of the park. A true masterclass performance in putting the media in their place and letting them know who was the smartest man in the room.
Will that link have an archived version soon ?

Good bloodlines.
+1. Not surprised at all that Barry Larkin raised a fine young man. And actually didn't even know the connection until tonight since it appears that neither father nor son goes around promoting it.
Our players seemed so mature and just kept on talking about the team and everything Buzz preaches them about the game. Loved how Buzz let the press know he is pi$$ed at them in a great way when asked "...when you won those first two close games..." , his response "..won? I thought all of you guys said we were just lucky...". I'm convinced he reads scoop " ...everyone believes I skew my words, but the thing is I'm transparent and you are all surprised because I tell you the truth..."

I'm not a turtle. But I remember that because I have a coffee cup that I use every morning with some of Buzz's best quotes.

Trent, Jameer and Vander in the presses. Couldn't be more proud of how they handle themselves. Trent is a gift to the program.
#1 You can tell he's still on edge. He's not happy to be there, and he doesn't really like any of the questions. Finally at the end Hunt asks him about it and you can see Buzz lighten up a little bit. Buzz probably needs to figure out a way to loosen up post game a couple of min. before he talks to the media (pray, meditate, breakdance, whatever helps). Right now it's an adversarial exchange, and it doesn't have to be.
#2 When I watch this press conf., I can't help but think that Buzz does read message boards and blogs. A question is directed at Vander about being picked 16 out of 16 in the sweet 16, and Buzz jumps in with the author's name and where the author is from. Buzz is keeping score (in life), and he's trying to cram it down everybody's throat. You can bet your bottom dollar that he has threads from 2008 on his own bulletin board somewhere.
#3 I love every minute of it.
Sorry to even bring it around to this but if Buzz leaves for another program he loses a lot of the underdog edge. When Crean left for IU the expectations were super high and everyone loved him right away. Only one way to go from there.
At MU he can keep that edge and if nothing else fall back on the "Who is Buzz?" stuff floating around the school when he was first hired.
