Gotleib said Miami By A sizeable margin. another person to prove wrong.
Gottleib just said no chance we even stay close. Back to the hotel boys, find a flight home.
Smug-face Gottlieb: "I like Miami by a sizable margin."
Go Warriors.
Stay Calm and Ahoya On.

What does a white guy know about basketball.
warriors. now.
The old, vacant Key Largo Casino is on fire so our CBS affiliate has breaking news on it. It's located about a half mile east (away from the Strip) from Bally's on Flamingo Road. It looks like I will be getting the game with a split screen and no sound. SOB! Go Warriors!
extra physical tonight...
I believe...
There is a God! Our local station wrapped up their coverage of the fire and will update Las Vegans during breaks in the game! I believe...!
Chris missing bunnies
Getting those paint touches though...
So far so good...

yep-those will fall

True. Both teams missing some pretty good looks. Hopefully Jamil and davante can get good looks if Chris and Juan are able to
2 for 8 from field. Better pick it or long night.
Great defense so far, it's DG and J Wils time now.
Offensive ball movement looks good.
Unfortunately, same is true for Miami.
Blue with the jam
If they just hit more shots, this be be huge lead.
8 minutes in and not one foul called on either team. WOW
love the start- their bigs are offensively challenged
Loving this grind it out game right now.
2 on larkin HUGE
Hit the fn free throws. Everyone counts.
Whoops, Larkin has #2 Nice
Lets fracking go!!
Why am I so scared about how we are playing....?
Jamil!!! Don't let up outta timeout like we usually do
Love the lead, but we're not going to win this game on jump shots. Can't forget the paint touches.
Send it in big fella! Couldn't have scripted a better start if I tried.
Wow! It's amazing how lost Miami looks when the ball screen is defended well
We're playing pissed right now. Thank you, national media.
40 Nasty minutes like this.....Let's Do It!!! WAR baby
Quote from: MUCam on March 28, 2013, 06:41:24 PM
Why am I so scared about how we are playing....?
Because they can easily revert to like the first 3 minutes when they could not make a shot.
But, confidence is high now and Miami looks desperate, just jacking up 3's
Take adv of the drought. they will hit a few of these threes.
Nothing stopping us inside.
THE BOYS ARE HUNGRY AND DETERMINED!!! LEEEGGGGGGGGOOOOO
Miami is 5 for 17 including 1 for 8 from 3.
Larranagra has a big set of nuts for putting Larkin back in with two fouls.
AAAGH! Really needed a board there.
Grab a rebound wow.
Miami has turned up the intensity
We look lost on offense right now. They are getting better shots. We are lucky they're not hitting anything. Need to get the offense going again.
Were on one of our stupid spells
MU is going to get no calls the rest of the way. These last 4 min are huge.
Ugh...starting to look like one of those MU droughts. Need to pick up the intensity. The lid will come off the rim soon for Miami.
nyg- theres another bad 3 minutes. we are done with that now
we got to watch out about miami starting to hit those 3's,
that's all they got as of now
See, the drought has started. No points since 7:13 mark. Was 24 to 12 and MU had ball after inbound. No points since, with two turnovers. Not good.
This really could be a huge lead, but lets hope its double digit by halftime, anything else would sort of be disapointing after Miami's horrid start.
Through a bad stretch, still up double digits.
Shouldve been 3 on Larkin. C'mon ref

It - the drought- has ended.
I hope Buzz tells them were down 13 at the half.
Alright up 13 but Miami will get hot. Need our offense to get going too.

Gotta step on their throats.
That went well.
But I'm not feeling cocky! Still need one more good, smart half from Buzz and the boys.
Miami is gonna hit shots and make a run in the 2nd.....We need 20 more solid D mins, value the ball and keep pounding it inside..WAR!!!!
Blue kinda quiet.
Half way through the exam
Need to come out and get back to the penetration we started with on O, and avoid lapses and alley-oops on D. God, I love it when they play well.
Let's get a third on Larkin early and just keep playing tough D and staying aggressive the entire second half. Come on guys!
MU shooting 44% from field
3 for 6 on free throws UGH
Miami is 6 for 28 from field (21%)
1 for 12 from three
Both teams have only 4 turnovers.
Nine total personal fouls called in first half, neither team to bonus. That does not happen often
OK, I am just over the top that MU up by 13, but something is telling me it should be like 25. No Debbie Downer thoughts, but I would be alot calmer.....
Keep it going boys.
Miami 6/28 as per ESPN. Don't expect that to continue but if we pound the ball down low I think we're gonna be OK!
Keep it up and see it through. Miami's misses will fall, but not enough to overcome the lead if we continue to be disruptive and forcing jumpers. Can't force an up and down game that plays into big runs - take it to them, get them frustrated and take your foul shots.

Ken Pomeroy tweeted that Larkin has one of the lowest foul rates in the country, so it's not likely we get him in foul trouble. Just keep pressuring him....
Is 16 points the lowest point total MU has given up in a half this year?

Does Pomeroy have a statistic for how it affects Larkin's game knowing he has to play carefully?

dont worry- he is out!

Yup and now they are stepping it up with him on bench. Big time. Step on throat time.
Go for the kill!!!
Looks like we still have the intensity.
Jamil for 3... keep it going boys! 5 minutes at a time...
Anyone else sick of Lundquist's Miami hard-on?
Hey, I just got here... been distracted reading all the pundits' previews of the game. How many points in Marquette losing by?
Still think Miami is going to make a run. Nice cushion though.
Take it easy on Verne... he's 72 so allotted a few mistakes...
Jamir Wilson
Marquette Warriors
Buzz Wilson
etc.
It's pretty obvious...MU is just a better basketball team, and Miami, much as i thought, can't handle the big stage.
Put [Miami] in a bodybag, Johnny. Yeah.

I keep expecting their run too. With the way they shoot 3's they can score in a hurry if they start dropping.
We are winning. I am worried. The sky is falling. The sky is falling. Legs, break out the karma machine.
GO WARRIORS!!!!!!
Stunning. There's a long way to go, but a shot at Indiana and that Crean guy is looking very possible. Or a rematch with 'Cuse.

18 point lead with 15 to go. Thats a tough one, but not impossible.
Third MU foul, be careful.

I thought I heard "Jamir" too. ;) Glad they're doing their homework.
Need Legs to know if this is doable.
Uh-oh, full court pressure.
Cane fans giving up. Hope they're right.
This game is not over .
Down 18, shooting 25% FG and 14% from 3 with 14 minutes left, not even averaging a point a minute.
Yeah... It is...
After first poor possession, handled the pressure well. Good sign.

Up 17 w 11 11 plus to go. Doable.
Davante needs to know that if he is way too tired to shoot, he should pass to the wing.

Very confident now. ;D
Yeah, feel better with Legs calling it doable.
Come on now. No dumb fouls and smart shots. Btw Gamble looks like a douche.
sloppy
Wow Wilson (Derek) totally fouled there.
Just when you think we have the game in hand...
Playing the clock game and not working NOT WORKING. NOT WORKING
This was a 21 point game with 10 minutes left. 21, now only 14.
Legs... welcome aboard... we need you!
Lets do this guys don't give us a heart attack!!!
C'mon guys. Put it away!!!!!
So if we win this one, think the media sentiment will be that Marquette won? Or Miami went cold?
Wow! Big break there!

Like I said in another thread. Injury affected Miami, they went cold, Marquette was lucky to shoot well, blah, blah, blah........and they will get killed in elite meight
up 14 w 7:54 left. Doable.
Two four minute periods. We get a 7 point head start in each period. If we can't win, I'll cry like I haven't since the Louisville comeback.
Stop fouling. Please.
has mayo played?
At least Miami would've gotten a good GIF out of this game, had they not air-balled after breaking Jamil's ankles...
Miami is gassed. No legs.

Can Gardner dunk? Seriously. Love the FTs but elevate an inch or two and get a 3 pt play.

"It doesn't matter that [Williams] didn't play. All I know is he is a hell of a teacher of the game."

We have not seen anything like this in a long time. As long as Buzz is at Marquette, Marquette will be elite.

But hold on, the game's not over yet.

Seriously Buzz should just put the bench on...
I don't agree that you empty the bench. Make sure.

You didn't consider any of that making your pre-game picks?
So, did Buzz dance on the floor after the game today?
This team is something special
Legs,
How's the back?
You should ask Buzz, cuz he did all the work for tonight! Warriors.
