Title: If MU and IU meet...
Post by: tower912 on March 24, 2013, 11:54:56 AM
to paraphrase Jaws....."you're going to need a bigger server."    If that were to come to pass, I am almost glad I will be driving south for spring break next weekend.    This will be a scary place.

Then Cuse.

Its not fair that Cuse and us could wind up playing each again before the final 4. How the 3 and 4 seed from the same conference got put into the same region is unreal.

Well, to be fair the top-4 teams in the Big East were all in different regions. Georgetown in the South, Louisville in the Midwest, Marquette in the East, and Pitt in the West. They had to put the 5th place 'Cuse in one of our regions.

Been saying this for weeks.  Really don't want it.  If it happens, I may take a short vacation from th board.

We'd have a better chance at beating IU than winning a rematch with Syracuse, IMO.

As much as I want the karmic IU match-up, I'd rather see Temple than either of them. Go Owls!

11.5 point favorites. Temple would be -1 vs Davidson.

What was MU favored by against UWGB?

This is college basketball, the best team doesn't always win....I would think at your advanced age you would know that by now.  MU against Miami (OH), 1978.  Etc, etc, etc, etc.

Fran is a very good coach, the A-10 a solid league.  I expect a tight game.  Temple beat Syracuse already this year and barely lost at Kansas.  They beat Saint Louis.  They beat VCU.  They beat LaSalle.  They beat Villanova.  Very capable team.

Be careful what you wish for.  We already beat Syracuse.  Cal, a mediocre team, had them down to the wire last night.  We have basically owned Syracuse the last few years.

Why isn't an IU fan discussing their game on an IU board?

Because I'm much more of a MU fan....and the game hasn't started yet.  Why is a MU fan on a MU board worried about who has worn Isaiah Thomas' uniform number?  Weird

Don't disagree that Temple is capable. According to Sagerin and Vegas (even more capable "experts"than you in spite of your constant horn blowing) about as capable as Davidson. And that, young man, is a fact.

And if Davidson didn't choke, they would have won.  That's the point, anything can happen...it's college basketball.  The best team doesn't always win...fact.

What did Vegas and Sagarin say about Gonzaga yesterday?   I rest my case

Sixstrings, you're calling people A-holes and then saying someone else is a 7th grader......

Lenny is just trolling, trying to stir the pot. I factually pointed out that the best team doesn't always win, and just because you are favored doesn't mean you will win....to drive it home gave a few MU examples. For using those facts, you start calling someone an a-hole.  Seriously, who's the 7th grader?

My matriculation from the seventh grade didn't remove all a-holes from the earth. I will continue call a spade a spade like an adult, different from your "I know you are but what am I... tee hee hee"

You're seriously in your 30s?

These days they are, but Jesus operated in the pre-television era. He could have been a complete Gomer.

I'm struggling with the agony of losing to IU versus the complete joy of winning that game.
