Title: Forde Column
Post by: dinger on March 24, 2013, 08:43:15 AM
Says not only were the games great, but that Buzz's wife had an emergency appendectomy. Quite a weekend for the coach.

Great article, thanks for posting. Great pic of Buzz trying to comfort the Butler player sitting on the floor.

That was a great picture.  Buzz is a guy who just Loves being a Basketball Coach and Loves college basketball players.  Don't want to turn this into a Crean bash but I think TC sees Basketball Coaching as a means to an end; wealth, fame etc.  Buzz just loves college coaching.

Nice article.  A ruptured appendix is a scary thing. Surprised Mrs. Buzz was able to return with the team. Hope all is well with her.

He inserted a wrinkle in the way the Eagles had been defending sideline out-of-bounds plays, though he declined to say what that wrinkle was, citing Sweet 16 security concerns. Coming out of the timeout, Butler clearly was flummoxed by what it saw, and the result was something of a train wreck.

Did DG spill the beans in this interview?

Forde must read Scoop - he referred to Thursday's game as the great escape.

Guess he did. But Buzz certainly drew the most attention to this with his response to the presser question.
