Really looking forward to seeing Butler-Marquette games twice a year in the Big East. With Notre Dame gone as a conference rival, I can't imagine a Home & Home series that will be more highly contested, or highly anticipated on a yearly basis.
Two similar styles of play. Two very different coaching personalities. Classic pair of games in 2012-13 - can't wait to see more of it next year in conference play.

Amen, 426. Amen.
I hope Clark is a senior.

I'd like to punch him in his neck

As well as his smugness. Guy needs to learn to take it in stride, man.
But hey, we just got them some $$$ so they should be happy.

I find it wildly satisfying that he was a non factor in the 2nd half.

Does any one have his 1st half vs 2nd half scoring numbers?
BTW - I read a tweet where we scored 27 points in 9 minutes in the second half. It took us the entire 1st half to score 27 points. I liked the 2nd half better....

Thanks!
Masterful strategy of tiring Clarke out with the pressure. He was gassed for last 10 minutes.
Their big guy, Smith, is a senior, too. Bye-Bye.
Kellen Dunham didn't have much of an impact in the tournament, but he was a Top 100 recruit, and hes averaged 10 ppg as a Freshman. Should have a strong final 3 years at Butler.
Either way, as long as Stevens is there, they will be a tough matchup.
I hate Rotnei but there is no coach in the NCAA's I respect more than Brad Stevens, especially as a person. I will never root against Butler unless MU is playing them and I can't wait for them to be in our conference.
What a great showcase for the New Big East next season. This was without question the best played, most exciting game of the tourney thus far.
Someone posted I think we found the "new" Louisville. I think they are right.

+1, Clarke is a tad punkish but if he played for us all his antics would be all in fun. Stevens is the real deal just like Buzz is the real deal. I like this budding rivalry, looking forward to seeing a game in Indy. B-in-law is a Butler grad so should be a lot of fun. There is something about small hoops only schools that makes it hard for me to hate on them. I respect L'Ville, Cuse, and Pitt but I do hate them. I guess it is the us vs them mentality of the new conference landscape. Go Warriors.
I really question the long term strength of Butler. I believe Stevens is gone within 3 years. Then What? I think he is special and I'm not sure how attractive Butler will be for the next guy. I'm sure the NBE will help secure a new young good coach but I expect a hue drop off that will likely take years to recover from.

Crean's leaving in three years?

Butler made the Sweet 16 twice in the 5 years prior to Stevens taking over as head coach. Certainly, Stevens took the program to a new level, but there is no reason to believe that the program will fall apart if he does leave.
Agreed. Can't wait to watch future games between MU and Butler. And yes Clarke is a senior thank god.
