Games like this where our guards drive out of control into the tall timber often don't turn out well.
Gotta change the rule to allow incidental elbow contact if the defender is in the offensive player's "space". Sure, it's subjective as hell, but way better than what we have now.

The other reason it's a crappy rule: the officials have such trouble understanding, reviewing, and enforcing it that every flagrant review comes with a 10 minute delay in the game.
