We sure played like crap, though. Honestly, I don't get the substitutions, the zone attack, etc. Down 1 with 6 seconds left and we have Jake Thomas out there...why, is he going to take a 3?
Glad it worked out, but we got lucky. I know Sultan didn't like it when I said that the other day about Utah State....I don't know how he can deny it with this one. We got damn lucky.

Davidson gacked it up at the end BUT give some props to Jamil and VB for hitting some shots and playing all 40.....counts the same as a 30pt blow-out.....W!!!!

Did absolutely everything we could do to hand that game to Davidson on a silver platter for about 38 and a half minutes. Then we did absolutely everything we had to do to win. Jesus, I'll be damned if that wasnt one of the most agonizing and beautiful sporting events I've ever seen.

I was sure we needed to start fouling, down 3 with a minute to play to get as many possessions as possible. Turned out ok. Hats off to Buzz. Left it up to his players, not Davidson's FT shooting.

Emotions get the best of me during games(as well as the har liquor) and I stand by Juan and especially DW being horrible. This is for Chris Otule. Sometimes you have stone hands and inexplicably shuffle your feet/fall over but goddammit the man bangs down low and competes. Usually he creates rebounds for others, today he just grabbed them. Overall awful performance. Great finish. Chris was the man. And vander once again peaces to the vander haters.

I know, I checked the game thread here, and saw we were down 2 with 20sec to go, and then tried furiously to get my stream back up. Saw the replay on the deadspin article linked.

The only issue is that it will be taking up 3 hours on my DVR all summer and my wife will keep asking when I'm going to erase it.

Awesome story. I am on the road. Finished a meeting with 13 minutes left and pulled into the parking lot of the coffee shop where I had lunch. Close enough to pick up there wifi and watch the rest of the game (in and out) on my ipad, while posting on scoop and texting Mrs. Legs, Legs Jr and a friend. The best type of insanity. The Manhattan calmed me, and the follow-up kDobble IPA has me glowing.

Crean came back on the road down 6 with 90 seconds to go against MSU and UM. I think Buzz is better and outcoached McKillop today, but Crean HAS come back late on the road this year.

It took two manhattans for me....
I had to work during the game, so I shut down my internet and turned off my phone until I could get home and watch it off of the DVR.
With three minutes left, I started doing the 30-second skip just to get it over with. I had to rewind it after I saw the team jumping up and down and cheering.
My brother (a Tennessee Vols fan) had a text that said "WTF?" all teed up to send me as soon as Marquette officially lost. He sent it anyway; he said it was still appropriate.

Here's mine: Part of an interview committee so I was only able to check in between interviews. Right before the final one I check and see 49-44 with 3 to go. The last girl interviewed probably got some of the lowest undeserved scores ever given as I'm not sure I heard a word that was said. When she walked out I checked my phone to find 10 texts, not wanting to read the sorrow my friends were wanting to share... the first one, a Purdue fan says "skin of your teeth", I flip to the next, my old roomie at MU and just says "OH MY GOD!!!". I run out of the room and get as many accounts as I can on the way home to my precious DVR.

We were completely dead in the water and about as dejected as we could get at Replay, minus the d-bag soccer fans screaming at the Italia match at the table behind us. By far the greatest sporting event I have ever attended in person.
I watched the first half on the plane to Ft. Lauderdale and part of the second half when the plane landed. United turned off the Direct TV then.
I saw were were down about 6 with 40 seconds left at FLL.
I got my family's luggage and wrote us off. I figured we lost and my wife told me not to torture myself by listening to NCAA radio in South Florida.
I was through with dinner, my kids in the hot tub and tuned into Scoop to see what the trolls were saying.
