Shame.
I'm smiling ear to ear. ;D I hate Calipari and this makes me really happy.
Go from being a preseason #3 to losing everything (including Nerls Noelle... or whatever his name is).
One thought: Does this mean that Kentucky will have two unbelieveable recruiting classes on one bench?
Yeah, there may be some "departures" between now and August..... :D

All they have is some D-League players, great win for Robert Morris, loved the gym, much like UWM's. When you start talking about 5 Star recruits, like the 3 they have, not one would
start at MU right now.
Great finish as well in the St. John's-St. Joe's game. Red Storm hit a shot at the buzzer to win!

There has to be. They are way oversigned.
Wow, how the mighty have fallen. I'm guessing that at some point in the past another NCAA champion has not made the tourney the next year, but not with that many Burger Boys on the bench.
Noells is gone anyways, he could still by the No. 1 pick in the NBA.
Definitely court-storm worthy.
Awesome game, awesome finish!
We were at the tourney in Minneapolis a few years ago and RMU was staying at the same hotel as us - they couldn't have been nicer people. The alumni association gave us tshirts and wristbands so we could be honorary RMU fans at the game the next day. We drank with the admins (band director, cheerleader coach, mascot, etc.) in the hotel bar the night before the game. It was awesome. The coach came into the bar with Phil Martelli after the game and everyone was just generally having a great time. I love RMU, I'm a Colonial Crazy! I'm so excited they beat Kentucky!
Noel, Goodwin, Poythress, and Cauley-Stein could all go in the first round
BTW, RMU was damn close to beating Villanova in the first round in 2010 in a 2-15 game. Had 'em all game long and blew it in the last 90 seconds or so.

"cheerleader coach"... and?
Robert Morris got a kid named "Lucky Jones." Lucky was ejected for two flagrants en route to beating Kentucky. Robert Morris is my new favorite team.
He mobbed that Kentucky guy

That was a real cheap shot by Jones. A real thug move. I'm glad Kentucky lost, though.

She was hot. I wasn't in her league at all. Fun to drink with though.

They might go in the first round in possibly the worst draft of all time.

I've seen drunks run onto baseball diamonds but Xavier's brother stands as the most bizarre I have seen. One thing that is creepy is Fulce got Xavier's right eye with his left finger nail. Watch your tape - between 2:23 and 2:30 Fulce is clearly cleaning his finger nail of Xavier's eye matter. He actually wipes it on his jersey. All in all a bizarre sequence of events.
Weirdest thing I have ever saw live.

It was a hard foul, not a "thug move." The play looked worse than it actually was because he wound up. If you watch it closely, he actually hits the ball out of Goodwin's hand. It just so happened that Goodwin's head/face were in between Lucky and the ball ;)
If the gods gave Marquette a National Title this season only to lose in the first round of the NIT next season, how many of you wouldn't take that deal?

Hell, I'd take a repeat of 2003 even if it means 2004 follows.
How many times do we see a team that thought they were getting into the NCAA tournament lose early in the NIT? Seems to be a yearly occurrence. Kids are disappointed, the effort isn't there, they basically mail it in. Right or wrong, this happens frequently.
For the record, UK didn't deserve to be in. They would have got in if their stud wasn't hurt last month, but that's not how it worked out for them.

Cal said this in the postgame. Said some players "let go of the rope" so he took them out and didn't play them again. I don't quite understand how he wasn't more upset. If I was a coach and my players quit, regardless of the circumstance, I'd be livid.

Cal hates this team and is relieved to have the season over. He can also use it as a teaching point for the new class of McD AAs that come in next season. Whenever a coach says that it would have been a shame if his team won, he's packed it in for the season.
Hmmm...they have signed 5 guys, and only one senior.

Even if Noel leaves, looks like more than a couple will be shown the door.
And they just added Julius Randle...Scout's #1 rated power forward.
So they have the #1 and #2 center, the #1 PG, the #1 SG, the #1 PF and the #3 SF.
Evan Daniels calls it "the best class he has ever seen." Hard to disagree.

That coach was probably Mike Rice of Rutgers. He had a nice little run at RMU. He did some time on the MU bench in the '90's. Assistant to Deane on a few NCAA teams and part time bartender at Hegs...cause back then we didn't pay our assistants 200K (and also because that's where you could usually find our Head Coach and top assistant.
Anyone else, besides me, impressed with Andrew Toole?

Just watched PTI and they said a couple of Kentucky guys would like to stay but they are being told to leave. Things are not well in Lexington.
I know Kentucky also has several players on 'year-to-year' scholarships that they can back out of. Most of the UK chatter I've read suggests that even if Noel stays (he won't) then they'd only be oversigned by 1

All scholarships are year to year.

Right. I think it was made explicit to several players that they would lose their scholarships when they signed though.
That was bad phrasing on my part.
What I'm getting at is I do not believe they are oversigned/overcommited because so many of their players are walk-ons who got a scholarship this year knowing they might lose it.

I would take the deal if Marquette was knocked out of the postseason next year by DeVry.

That was just changed by the NCAA. Multi-year scholarships are now available. Marquette voted against this, by the way.

Schools vote, not coaches. I have no idea if he was against it or how IU voted. I know Marquette voted against it because they were mentioned in articles that they were against it.
