Post by: krice7131 on March 19, 2013, 10:59:54 AM
Anyone know of a place in the Loop where people will be getting together for the game on Thursday?

I'll be in my office on Clark on a teleconference call. Luckily I don't have to really participate, so I can just zone out and watch the game on my computer.

Yeah, the Rupp Arena. Only 5 1/2 hour drive. Let's get some MU fans there!

O'Neill's on Wells according to MU website. 411 South Wells. I think it used to be Alcock's.

Last year there was a last minute "Chicago Viewing Party" note sent out by the Chicago Chapter/MU Connect.  The establishment was O'Neill's on Wells (Formerly Alcock's).  While not as formal a viewing party as, say, National Marquette Day, there was plenty Gold and it's a decent place.  There was sound, but I didn't (and one shouldn't) expect giveaways, deals and free hot wings unless advertised.

I've not yet seen a note of this sort yet.

Chicago Alumni Office just sent an email stating they are getting together at O'Neil's on Wells (410 S. Wells St.) if you are downtown.  They usually get a Miller Lite special setup as well.

I went to O'Neil's last year.  It was decent once the young trader/broker community left after a 2 beer lunch.
