Are we still an undersized team? Tim Brando and some of the announcers this year still say we are, but I think we have more size and length than I can remember since maybe the 2003 team.

no way...gardner obviously plays bigger than his height, and a front court of otule, gardner, taylor and j. wilson is solid in talent and overall height.

Average height rank by year
2007 - 150
2008 - 244
2009 - 290
2010 - 341
2011 - 104
2012 - 225
2013 - 102
We're still not a team full of giants, but Buzz has taken the roster from one of the shortest in college hoops to a point where it's generally not a deciding negative factor in any given game. It would be like taking over Wisconsin and going from the absolute slowest paced team to a tempo closer to ours. Fairly impressive shift in roster makeup in a relatively short period of time.

This MU team has more length than past MU teams but has only 4 players 6'7" or taller (Davidson has 8 - though 4 rarely play) and DG isn't exactly known for his ability to defend in the post. Not to mention that both PGs are 6'1" and the other primary perimeter players (Blue, Mayo, Lockett) are 6'3", 6'4" and 6'5". Yes, it's fair to say that MU is still undersized.

Buzz started out with his 'they're really, really good' line. Spent a lot of time talking about why Davidson is so good. Which, boiled down is, they shoot 3's 'really, really good'. Also, their bigs can go inside and outside. Only in the last minute or so did he talk about MU, where MU was picked to finish, how they were supposed to be in a 3 letter tournament, not a 4 letter tournament, and how it is the development of the guys who have been in the program for a couple of years that had helped this team, as well as the chemistry being 'really, really good'.
