When will we know?
And if you care ... the NIT selection show is on ESPNU now ... I cannot tell you how glad I am we don't have to watch this.
nm
Kentucky playing AT Robert Morris is awesome.
UK made the field?
We'll know our time late tonight or tomorrow sometime. Sorry so vague, don't know anything else.
When will we know team hotel???

Better than making the CBI...ask Brad Stevens last year. ;)
Many good teams were left out of the NIT, since there was 10 auto bids this season for the NIT. I love the NIT! Can't wait for Tuesday.
Every year...
I meant to add the "what time does MU play?" as part of my least favorite MU Scoop'isms. Every year indeed.

Good, because marquette is terrible on national television.

Unfortunately, it looks like X was one of those teams left out. And it appears they declined the CBI, so their season is over. Providence (hosting Charlotte, could play UK with a win) and St. John's (@St. Joe's, play UVA with a win) representing the New Big East.
Where did you see that?

Uh, unless I'm reading that wrong, we start after the conclusion of the 12:40pm game in Lexington, so closer to 3:00pm, right?
edit: modified the thread to say ~2:55 until someone tells me otherwise.
If you think about it, being on TruTV for their first game is a good thing. It means MU is a high seed and playing a team they should handle. I'd rather have that than be a 10-seed playing on CBS.
Those times are EST. 2:10 is right for CST.

Ian Eagle / Jim Spanarkel. Almost a shock Len Elmore was assigned to Philly instead of covering us, and equally surprising they didn't also rent Mike Patrick to spite us as well.

Ah, right. My timezone converter wasn't turned on. Changed the title back with a CT noted. But still, may start before 2:10 depending on the previous game, no?

Could start earlier, but one thing I noticed at the BEast tourney this past week is that 30 second timeouts were converted to full time outs for what I'm assuming is TV purposes. I'd expect the same for the tourney.
The early game starts 12:40 EST, give it a min 2 hours and the break and you're talking a 3 p.m. EST start. With the timeout extensions for commercials I'd say 3:10 EST is a safe bet.
Man, that makes for an early morning driving down there.

FYI: The first 30sec timeout in the half is always extended to a full timeout. Regular season and tourneys.

I don't care when they play, I am retired.
Then you're a yellow sweater vest kinda dude?
Advantage of the Thursday game is that (God willing) if we win, the next game is on Saturday. Which makes for an awesome Saturday.
Question: Do I understand correctly that the winners out of our bracket play next in DC?

I couldn't leave it up to chance. I will be getting paid to watch basketball in my underpants on Thursday and Friday.
