I wonder how this is gonna fly with the New Big East
I wonder how that will fly with the good ol' boys on Cancer Road.
Probably more bucks for MSG in a bidding war
Isn't the new Big East assuming the current contract? If so, that baby goes through 2026 or something like that.
Not sure which if any contracts have been finalized yet. Does anyone have any more info?

+1. The NC schools hate when it's held in Atlanta; they'd keep it in Greensboro over MSG if they had their way. Either a compromise move with the rest of the conference that doesn't like it in their backyard or something driven by Pitt and Syracuse.
They may get their wishes if C7 doesn't compete on the court the next couple of years and because of Syracuse notoriety with the Garden and their move to the ACC.
Plus they will probably get Bloomberg involved as it could generate more income for the city. He would pimp anything for a buck

It depends on how the contract is written. Many venue-rental agreements do not permit assignment to another party--at least not without the venue's permission.
