I googled 'magic pills' after we got beat by DePaul.  Nothing came up.  And, uh, I had Corey google it; she's better on the internet.  Nothing came up.  I told our team, 'I tried to help ya but all I know to do is just keep working.  That's it.'

My favorite....for now:

"I like guys that have had to ride in 15-passenger vans. I like guys that, when they order, they use a number. 'I'd like the combo meal No. 2.' I like those kinds of guys. I'm never opposed to signing a guy who ate at McDonald's pre- and post-game, and is thankful to get one cotton t-shirt, not a Dri-FIT."

"Faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love, and a lot of these kids have never been loved.  And when you've never been loved and you're 20 years old and somebody tries to love you for the first time, you don't know how to handle it.  And when you start talking about God for the first time and when you think about what those kids have been through in the previous 20 years, they're not sure there is a God.
So when you start talking about love and you start talking about God and you're with kids every single day and you do it for about 150 days and they get up here and speak, which is a lot harder than you think, to people that they don't know and they use the same words that you use, it means you're helping their life.  That's what it means."

My least favorite is relative to what we're talking about.  RELATIVE RELATIVE RELATIVE!!!

Pretty much anything that comes out of the dude's mouth is comedy, and there's always a subtext to it - motivating players mostly.  I enjoy listening to him speak, relative to the number of times he says RELATIVE.

+1000  In my view, this quote sums up Buzz.  What parent would not want his/her child to play for BW?  Good grief, he's the epitome of "cura personalis."  He "IS MARQUETTE!," and we are darn lucky to have him.

I like this one too, but always wonder whether a parent who raised the kid may be offended by hearing he'd never been loved. I know that isn't what he meant, but it could be construed that way.

My favorite, b/c it hits home these days, is "Just gotta hang in there for one more day...and then do it again the next day."

He says he wants to be here, he has stayed loyal.  I love it.  Our history of coaches leaving around year five was finally broken, let's hope this one stays a decade or longer.  Why would you be against our coach saying he wants to stay here?  Bizarre

If I were Buzz I would follow Al's example and not leave for another coaching job but become a broadcast analyst. He would make a goldmine of cash just doing that and have more time with his family during the off season. He would be a great analyst but that is just my opinion. ...but not until MU no longer wants him.

I think this thread is worth preserving in wiki format.  I took the liberty to get things rolling, but know there's a lot missing in terms of content and a lot desired in terms of format.  Anyone have a collections of "Al's best quotes" to add while we're at it?
