Title: 2012-2013 Stats (end of regular season)
Post by: Henry Sugar on March 11, 2013, 01:23:33 PM
Here is the same chart organized four different ways with some comments

By Usage

No surprises here really.

By Offensive Rating

Free Steve Taylor. And the improvement by Jamil has been stellar. Otule's offensive efficiency is good too. The key point here is that if you look at all the players that will be returning next year, all but Juan and Derrick Wilson are above average offensively.

By Defensive Rating

This section is where most of the flaws exist. Defensive rating is based on the team defense and then adjusted for the box score statistics. So if a player spends the whole game denying their man the ball (ie - Dominic James), that doesn't get any credit. I think Mayo and Blue don't get enough credit. But still... nice to see Juan (best DR on the team) and Jamil up there. Oh by the way, free Steve Taylor.

By Net Points

These are best viewed as the line charts showing trend over the season. Again, Derrick Wilson gets short-changed here. And FREE STEVE TAYLOR

He could become F. Steve Taylor much like someone became Jimmy F. Butler.

Steve Taylor needed to play more on Saturday.  We have no one leaving on the front line next year...and an additional player coming in....but they have to find a way to get him more minutes.
