Golden Eagles win opener
Wesley Matthews scored 22 points and Dominic James added 19 points and 11 assists as Marquette opened its four-game exhibition trip to Vancouver, British Columbia on a high note with a 107-91 victory over the Moult Athletic All-Stars on Saturday afternoon.
Jerel McNeal had 16 points and Dan Fitzgerald 13 for the Golden Eagles, who shot 52.1% for the game and 46.7% from three-point range (14 for 30).
MU plays its next game at 10 p.m. CDT against University College of the Fraser Valley.

5 guys in double digits scoring, 11 assists by DJ. The big minus was Ooze with just 2 points in 20 minutes. Christopherson added 9 points

Wow! The fact that ooze only made 2 points was due to the fact that they were making a large percentage of their outside shots.
I fear though that the March Madness cliche will catch us yet again: Marquette is only as good as their outside shooting.
