Watch him on the far right of the bench (ignore Blue if you can); doesnt even uncross his arms and just strolls off onto the court. Having seen some of his dances and antics I'm honestly shocked how calm he was.

Cool as a cucumber.
Act like you've been there.
He was extremely focused when the refs swallowed their whistles and the lead was cut. All he cared about was winning and keeping the players focused in my opinion.
sometimes you're too relieved to be excited...
i was more worried about the mu hands flying at the rim/backboard...the way i understand the rule, if the ref wanted to be a prick, they could have waived the hoop off for trent hitting the backboard?
I think he wanted to make it about the players. Also, probably wanted just a moment to savor it privately.

I wondered that too actually. At least the St. John's guy slapped the backboard too, but I'm not sure what the rule is.
St Johns slapped the backboard and touched the rim on about 6 possessions in last 10 min.... If they called it on MU, that would have been horsesh.....
Yeah, one of the shots StJ made, a layup, another player came down the middle of the ane and grabbed the rim. It was so blatant and the announcers didn'y even mention it because they wer falling all over each other about the shot that was made right afte the guy grabbed the rim. The guy apparently wen up to tip in the first miss, but the rebound went to the other side of the rim and that guy reonded it and put it in. I couldn't believe the no call, and the fact that it wasn't mentioned by the announcers.
I unfortunately didn't get to watch the game today. That's the first time I saw that angle on Blue's winning drive. I noticed Blue used D Rose's "football" move of putting the ball off his hip on the outside of the defender for a step and then driving with the off leg to the rim.
Great, pro level play by Blue. He's really coming into his own.
he looked absolutely wiped in front of the Al, as well as in his post-game interviews.... guessing he didn't have energy to spare. If Vander's bucket doesn't go in he has to make it through 5 more min of game time.
Anyone have a link to Buzz postgame?

It just struck me that Coach Buzz Williams did not have a net cutting ceremony today at the Garden featuring himself on the ladder. How can this man consider himself a mentor and steward of these young men if he denies them the opportunity to cut the nets for winning a share of a conference title? I wonder if there are any examples where Coach Williams can learn how to celebrate such an occasion more appropriately?
Sooooooo, does EVERYTHING have to do with a Buzz-Crean pissing
match?! What is the statute of limitations on these kind of threads? Guy

On the post-game with Homer, Buzz described himself as exhausted and "emotionally bankrupt."

Four years, eleven months, eight days, twenty-three hours, actually.

I am waiting for the fifth year to start before passing judgment.
Anyone notice how high up Jamil was on that last play? He was nearly eye level with the rim. Kid can sky.

Nice, Doc :)
Buzz was actually looking giddy towards the end of OT.
I think he relishes good basketball games, especially moments that test his team's mettle and allows for his team to run plays under pressure.
Because that's what March is about: performing under pressure.

Our March performance thus far has been less than stellar. I am hoping we can rise to the occasion going forward. It will only get tougher next week and the weeks after that. We need to play as well as we are capable. We got two wins this week but we were far from our best. Time to get serious.
Not to ruin your comment, but we are undefeated in March so far, but that is pretty disappointing

We didn't win the conference title in March. we've been winning it all season. I am concerned that we have struggled against two mediocre teams at a time we should be peaking. The next few weeks will require our very best effort.

True, but road games are much tougher on college teams than neutral site games. It levels the playing field. MU's ND effort was great, so I fully expect a solid MU performance(s) this week.

Wow!
I was right by the bench. Buzz was almost laughing during the previous 2 timeouts

He actually started a thread, that was locked, which said the same exact thing.
Both 4ever and keefe have become one trick ponies.

I noticed that as well. When they cut to the benches for timeouts, Buzz was grabbing his clipboard and looked like he was having the time of his life.
I don't think he looks calm. I thInk he is holding himself tight so he doesn't unravel.
