That alone is worth it
28-14 in the second quarter at the Big House ;)
My loathing of all things University of Michigan is so deep and so abiding that I, too, would almost consider the BTN just so that I could watch this. Almost.
APP STATE WINS!!!!!!!!!
They almost choked it big time....with 30 seconds left they were at the Michigan 5 yard line, 1st down...they decided to kick then. STUPID.
They made the FG but why not waste time. Michigan throws a hail mary with 10 seconds left to get down to the 20, they try the game winning FG but it's blocked.
App State wins 34-32.
AWESOME GAME
If Washington St can somehow beat Bucky, you will be unable to pry the smile off of my face. My autumn will be complete.

I always love an upset, but and I may get banned for saying this, I always root for Badgers FOOTBALL. I'im in the heart of SEC and ACC territory in Atlanta, and I really get tired of the Big Ten bashing that goes on down here. So, since Wisconsin Football doesn't affect MU hoops, I DO cheer them on on the gridiron.. So sue me.

Having questionable taste does not get you banned....
Go Badgers!!!....In football that is ;D
Was at the Badger game on Saturday (very impressive turnout by CougarNation) and when a BTN commercial came on the jumbotron nearly all 80,000 booed. I say nearly b/c I could care less about missing Bucky Hoops or Football vs the Citadel. It was funny though to see all the constituents boo.
ChicosBailBonds, I do not poke my nose here all that often. Whenever I do, however, it seems that, almost without failure, I come across another of your efforts to promote and hype DirecTV.
The latest being, "I'm watching App State kick Michigan's a$$ right now on BTN." BTN, I now know, is offered on some DirecTV package.
Any chance you would tone down the blatant efforts to shill for your employer?
If "I'm watching App State kick Michigan's a$$ right now on BTN" is a "shill" for DTV, it's about as low on the shill-ometer as you can go .. and that sent you over the edge?
Actually, I don't see it as a shill at all. It's a mildly hot topic around Wisconsin, since the cable companies (Time Warner, at least) are fighting to NOT stick the bill with everyone, and instead, put it in a Sports Tier for just those who want to buy it.

Sorry you feel that way, but that wasn't the case. If the game was on FSN I would have said "I'm watching App State kick Michigan's A$$ on FSN" right now. The fact was, a major upset of historic proportions was happening (maybe the biggest upset in college history) and I simply cited where the game was played.
As for Schoolyard's comments about the Citadel games...all true...for now. Come January when 80% of the Big Ten conference games will be on, a different story. It's an interesting gamble by a major conference in OUR BACK YARD of the Midwest. It's success or failure will have an impact on the Big East eventually.
But going back and reading your previous messages throughout the year, you definitely have a bug up your a$$ for me http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?action=profile;u=235;sa=showPosts I'd suggest that when you see one of my posts, you just ignore to save yourself the angst.

When does BTN HD launch? It was fun to watch 4 games in a row right there on Saturday and the Michigan game was ridiculous.

MU Ave...you're more than welcome to shill for Burger King, or is it Hardee's? I love their Monster burger, do you make that? Or are you on fries?

It launches September 15th
ChicosBailBonds: How could I have issues with someone who is ardent in his support of what are also my favorite university and basketball team? I was simply noting that I read here with some regularity references to a certain satellite television company. Like before, no need for hard feelings. Just some friendly ribbing.
Schoolyard: Huh? Your response and seeming efforts to come to the aid unnecessarily of ChicosBailBonds make no sense, at least to me. Why the unkind, uncool words about people who perform honest, oftentimes-difficult work at restaurants? You look down on them? You mock them? You taunt and deride them? Your response is not only a bizarre nonsequitor but it reveals your disrespect for millions of hardworking people.
By the way, Schoolyard, I believe that in your post about the football game Saturday in Madison, you meant you could NOT "care less about missing Bucky Hoops or Football vs the Citadel. It was funny though to see all the constituents boo." A mistake that I would not have expected from someone who places himself so high on the food chain.

I agree, shilling isn't cool at all...
Did you know that if you go to http://legistar.milwaukee.gov/mattersearch/index.aspx
and search on Marquette you can see the resolution assigning funds to repair 13th street, including a complete history, text and supporting documentation for the item. Milwaukee can do this because they use legistar that has been the gold standard in automating city and county governments for 20 years and is currently implemented by milwaukee, west allis, racine and madison.
